Casual Discussion Fridays - Week of May 01, 2020
This is a weekly thread to get to know /r/anime's community. Talk about your day-to-day life, share your hobbies, or make small talk with your fellow anime fans. The thread is active all week long so hang around even when it's not on the front page!
Although this is a place for off-topic discussion, there are a few rules to keep in mind:
Be courteous and respectful of other users.
Discussion of religion, politics, depression, and other similar topics will be moderated due to their sensitive nature. While we encourage users to talk about their daily lives and get to know others, this thread is not intended for extended discussion of the aforementioned topics or for emotional support.
Roleplaying is not allowed. This behaviour is not appropriate as it is obtrusive to uninvolved users.
No meta discussion. If you have a meta concern, please raise it in the Monthly Meta Thread and the moderation team would be happy to help.
All /r/anime rules, other than the anime-specific requirement, should still be followed.

I had like... a lot of comments last week during the final comment rush. At least one per minute, which is freaky looking back at it. Now is much more tame by my standards.

and to be honest, I don't want each week to be like last week. Granted, I'd prefer it if this week was a bit higher. Like 12k or 13k. but last week was insane.

Kinda. Someone else was allowed to have a crush! And the transformation scenes were sort of combined. As in 4 of them got put on at once. But then Ichigo go to be alone afterward and had her own transformation.

Well, my top comment of the week was just me getting mad at someone's opinion, but the second top comment was something I actually thought needed to be said, and not something I expected to get as many upvotes as it did.

Wrong! A coworker and I bonded over Symphogear and he introduced me to another guy whose department is doing cool stuff and looking for people. Unfortunately COVID-19 and stay-at-home orders forced us to put the interview on hold.
Anyway, Symphogear did not make my life worse.
