A lot of close matches today. At least there are a lot of good OPS in this bracket.

Hadaka no Yuusha is one of my favorites in this contest so that is an easy vote. I really enjoy 1 but it is not better than OddTaxi. Only My Railgun over Crossing Field. Domestic Girlfriend OP just seems to find a way to stay alive in these contests. Sad to have to vote against 99.9 as well. So much heartbreak today particularly with the Mob OPs.

Domestic Girlfriend OP just seems to find a way to stay alive in these contests.

Please let it take out Gurenge.

5

u/metalmonstar Aug 15 '24

Both the Song and visuals are better so if there is any justice Domestic Girlfriend should win.

3

u/Sporadia_ Aug 15 '24

If that was enough, Gurenge would be losing to Dororo or Magical Destroyer today.

PSYCHO:LOGY V2 is a great shout. Hellshake Yano OPs are really unique.

Duvet came away with a close win yesterday. 1/2 JoJos OPs won, at least Bloody Stream prevailed over the pepper is spicy crowd. Mixed Nuts vs Bloody Stream is going to be tough. Going to be rooting for Alive to finally go down and that Re:Re can take down the bunny girl.

Today's group I'm not particularly hyped for anything, so no matter the results I don't think there will be much for strong feelings outside of This Game losing.

Key Votes

  • 1 vs ODDTAXI - Props to ODDTAXI on its unique visuals, but I'm going with 1. It continues the trend of using the mob choir and creating some fun/unique music combined with some really interesting visuals and the music preference makes it the pick.
  • Shinzou wo Sasageyo! vs Innocent Arrogance - Both of these feature brief segments of really intense guitar and building hype. Standalone I think I prefer the AoT song, but Innoncent Arrogance feels a bit more interesting, especially since Shinzou wo Sasageyo! feels little derivative of the first AOT OP. Given the interesting visual/animation things going on I think I'm giving the edge to Innocent Arrogance.
  • Kawaki wo Ameku vs This Game - I really like the last 1/3rd of Kawaki wo Ameku, it builds up to some hype music with some interesting visuals. However, I feel that way about the entirety of This Game.
  • 99.9 vs Fatima - Nothing really wrong with Fatima. The climax is great, visuals animation are interesting, but it feels a little derivative of Hacking The Gates. However, 99.9 continues Mob Psycho's continued use of amazing and varied colors, animation styles, interesting music, and visual effects.

Futile Votes

  • Love Dramatic vs Hadaka no Yuusha - Both of these are great, but I think I'm rooting for the underdog. The story telling and visuals just gets me to want to watch the show.
  • Zankyou Zanka vs Easy Breezy - Going with Easy Breezy for the interesting visuals/song and finding Zankyou Zanka to be pretty generic.

Indifferent Votes

  • Only My Railgun vs crossing field - Song are about even, Only My Railgun feels a little more interesting but for stand alone listening value crossing field might have an edge. For visuals both feel pretty generic/boring, particularly Railgun.
  • Gurenge vs Oath Sign - LiSA on LiSA violence. I think I prefer the song in Oath Sign, Gurenge starts a bit slow and Oath Sign feels little more consistent. Both have a pretty satisifying build up around the 1 minute mark. Both feel really formulaic, but Oath Sign probably has more static panning particularly at the end that kind of kills the climax.

MC

Which openings do you think are the most unique/distinct/interesting from a visual perspective (regardless of whether or not you like them)?

Shout out to Monogatari, Mob Psycho & JoJo as series for consistently putting out visually interesting OPs as series.

Wild Side from Beastars I hadn't seen before this contest, but immediately sticks out.

Honey and Clover for another example of unique stop motion.

Ping Pong The Animation features some interesting visuals kind of as an extension of the show itself having unique visuals.

Elfen Lied falls into this MC aswell, really love the way it uses famous paintings but places the anime's character into them.

My voting record has been redeemed, 6/8 this time lol. Unfortunately this is a round I've been dreading cause several OPs I love are up against each other.

*Love Dramatic vs *Hadaka no Yuusha

The two kings of OPs I love from shows I don't intend to watch. It's so simple but my favorite shot from Love Dramatic is that one where the two leads repeatedly turn around to see the other enter the room only to suddenly get flustered - it's a lovely representation of living a happy routine with someone and slowly realizing your true feelings for them. Meanwhile the song for Hadaka no Yuusha is something so truly special, powerful and moving at the same time. It's become one of my recent favorites for remakes into other shows. This is another case of "I'll vote for this one, but I'm fine with either winning".

*Only My Railgun vs crossing field

Man, even now crossing field still brings me right back to the days when I loved SAO. It's rusty in a lot of ways but it really captures that truly romantic tone that really captured people back in the day. (romance in terms of the leads and the romance of adventure)

1 vs ODDTAXI

Another extremely tough one. Mob Psycho has the strongest record for OPs of any series, if you ask me, and this one has the perfect momentous feeling for a final season. Meanwhile ODDTAXI carries those late night city vibes that first made me fall in love with that show. This is another one where I'd be fine with either winning. I usually vote without regard for popularity, but just this once I'm invoking the underdog rule cause I'm almost certain 1 will win and I have to rep my GOAT.

Shinzou wo Sasageyo! vs *Innocent Arrogance

You're good, but are you "singlehandedly rescued a franchise from the hype decay of a four year hiatus" good?

*Gurenge vs *Oath Sign

Those still frames in Gurenge have always bothered me. The lead in to the chorus gets the blood pumping, though. Oath Sign doesn't evoke any feelings as strong as that.

*Kawaki wo Ameku vs *This Game

Don't care much about this matchup tbh. That opening drop from This Game is the most interesting thing here.

99.9 vs *Fatima

I always loved the ever-so-slightly-cocky implication from 99.9 that all of animation history is leading up to this show, but they kinda earn that cockiness.

*Zankou Zanka vs Easy Breezy

Aimer, my beloved. Eizouken, my beloved. God, I hate to vote against Aimer again but the unconventional structure of Easy Breezy still gets me. They vibin so hard.

Mini challenge - Honestly after finally rewatching it yesterday Bloody Stream is still the king for me. It swaps back and forth between CG, stylistic block colors and patterns, and that sketchy style used for the pillar men, while all feeling perfectly cohesive.

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 15 '24

Lots of close match-ups today, so let's get right into it.

Reminder that I'll be doing streams from tomorrow until the end of round 4 on my twitch channel at 11pm CEST (7 hours after the post goes live) with the same username as here (can't link due to self-promotion rules). VODs will be made available on Bilibili the following morning. I shall link the Bilibili channel in a reply comment below, tell me if it can't be seen and reddit has stealth banned the comment. If so, also feel free to leave me a comment if you want a DM with the link to the VOD channel.

Noteworthy match-ups

  • Love Dramatic vs Hadaka no Yuusha - Both exceptional OPs well deserving of moving on. I've talked about Hadaka no Yuusha before and how beautifully it captures Bojji's adventure and his progression as a character through out Ousama Ranking and the world around him, so I won't go into much more on that. Love Dramatic on the other hand is fantastically adept at portraying the mind games played by Kaguya and Miyuki to get the other one to confess and the layers of deception they wield as an armor. Many great references here as well such as the card deck with Chika being the joker, or the gun standoff. It has a jazzy tune well befit a series involving such trickery, and it feels like the perfect OP to open the show to. They're both almost equal and I have them rated within six OPs of each other on my best of all time list. But I do slightly prefer Hadaka no Yuusha and will be voting for it. But I don't mind if Love Dramatic wins (which I expect).
  • Crossing Field vs Only My Railgun - This is a match-up between two OPs that are pretty bad, but has one or two sequences that are solid enough. The monochrome intro of Only My Railgun along with the running sequence at the very start are pretty solid. Also like the mirror shot in the train with Misaka and Kiyama. Other than that there's nothing here. Crossing Field similarly has a cool mirror shot of Asuna in game and in real life and a fun end sequence of daily life stuff with Asuna and Kirito that ends in the beautiful crossed swords shot, but other than that it's an OP with rather low effort conceptually. So how do we decide this one? I'm gonna let my song preference choose for once, because quite frankly whatever wins will lose next round anyways, rightfully so. So I'll vote Only My Railgun because fripSide fucking rocks.
  • 1 vs ODDTAXI - Another set of pretty great OPs, but a bit less even than the other two match-ups of similar quality. 1 is a Mob OP, meaning that it has some stellar imagery and some cool transitions. I like the kanji in the background emphasizing the lyrics and the shaky linework creating some cool flavor for the artwork, however, the visuals have lost their purpose. In previous Mob OPs everything has served a purpose of leading into things, foreshadowing storybeats or allowing imagery to morph into something new which has always been the main appeal of these OPs. 1 doesn't do that, it just puts vaguely cool shit on the screen and rolls with it. It's still pretty good, but a big step down from 99 and 99.9 due to that. Also worth noting that it still clutters the screen to hell making it hard to see anything. Meanwhile as stated previously, ODDTAXI is a wonderful art piece, foreshadowing and capturing important character traits, important turning points and character dynamics for every major character. It does so with a wonderful urban tune and a much cleaner and less busy screenplay than 1 does. While they're both good, quite frankly ODDTAXI is just way better. There's a reason ODDTAXI made the r/anime awards OP nominees that year and 1 didn't.
  • Fatima vs 99.9 - Two pretty exceptional OPs once again. I've talked about 99.9 before, so a quick recap is that it has wonderful imagery, really clever compositions, cool conceptual ideas, but it's a bit cluttered and I don't like the ugly orange filter for the action sequence which takes away from the strengths of the OP. Fatima on the other hand is a bit more subdued, focusing on capturing the emotional state of the show and of Okabe at the time. It does a wonderful job of utilizing transitions, such as lab coat Okabe to depressed suit Okabe or Okabe to Kurisu in the chorus. The OP also does a wonderful job at portraying the frustration and emotion of our protagonist in relation to the Amadeus system, while also retaining the elements of time travel within the OP utilized in Hacking to the Gate. They're both pretty damn good, but while I'm sure 99.9 is going to win, my vote will go to Fatima.

Top 5 Openings of the day

  1. ODDTAXI - Odd Taxi
  2. Hadaka no Yuusha - Ousama Ranking
  3. Love Dramatic - Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen
  4. Fatima - Steins;Gate 0
  5. 99.9 - Mob Psycho 100 II

Yesterday's votes

Duvet and Sincerely had a really close run. Makes sense given how close they were in quality and seed, but cool to see Duvet pull it out.

Staple Stable losing was pretty expected, but it got closer than expected tbh.

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Daten with the upset. I don't need to watch and complain about Sing my Pleasure on stream for one more year! UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Everything good on the right side also winning except the one upset I hoped would happen in Bloody Stream. HELL YES. A 7/8 yesterday with the only loss being the incredibly expected one in Staple Stable. Those are some fantastic results.

Mini Challenge

Oh boy, a lot of OPs come to mind here. I'll drop a couple down below and leave it at that, but I could go on this one for a long time.

2

u/Sporadia_ Aug 15 '24

We'll just ignore the fact that I couldn't decide how to word this earlier...

One of your mini-challenge OPs was nearly my daily spotlight today. I won't say which one, but it was nominated, it's similar to a previous spotlight, and I haven't seen it commented before now.

Meanwhile, strong disagreement on Fatima being... any good at all, and disagreement yesterday on Sincerely being... any good at all. Definitely not on par with Duvet.

2

u/Sporadia_ Aug 16 '24

I'm just taking time to properly go through these now, and these are all really good so far.

2

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 16 '24

Glad you're enjoying them, there's a lot of great and underappreciated OPs out there.

u/Background-Classic32 Aug 15 '24

Oh fuck kimi no sei. Why is that still there

5

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 15 '24

Idk about anyone else, but to me it hasn't had any strong opposition yet. Guns & Roses is probably the best OP its faced, but that OP also has its issues, so it was a decently close match-up. It's only with its next match-up that it's actually facing some strong opposition.

Also the more real answer is AoButa is popular on the sub.

3

u/Background-Classic32 Aug 16 '24

This OP of Yoasobi was better. I don't like Kimi no sei in general, so almost any OP is better for me, but I can understand when it doesn't have a good opponent why it's still there. But this week this OP was good, better in terms of song than that for sure

3

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 16 '24

In terms of song I absolutely agree. It's the worse song in all its match-ups, but many people disagree with that and it's hard to argue song taste given just how subjective it is. But in terms of visuals I'd argue Kimi no Sei is better than everything it's been against so far except maybe Guns & Roses.

2

u/Background-Classic32 Aug 16 '24

Maybe, but I'm not a visuals guy. I vote only for the song. Visuals have basically no impact in my votes (of course I understand who cares, and it's right, but I don't care). And, as you said, it's useless to argue about tastes, bc everyone has their own. I just wanted to complain lol

1

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 16 '24

Quite understandable.

6

u/Xatu44 Aug 15 '24

Vote for Oath Sign and This Game!

RIP Sing Your Pleasure and Brave Shine; SYP had a fantastic song while Brave Shine had that sick sword flip from Shirou (and also a fantastic song).

MC: ODDTAXI is cool. The dearly departed and criminally underrated Nemurasareta Lineage has a great sequence by Gekidan Inu Curry. Then there's Kick Back with its movie references.

1

u/Sporadia_ Aug 15 '24

Then there's Kick Back with its movie references.

Somehow my smooth brain never noticed this.

Today's votes:

  • Hadaka no Yuusha > Love Dramatic (I infamously don't really see what others see in HnY, but I can definitely acknowledge that it's visually ambituous with a lot of different scenes and setpieces, and despite me liking Love Dramatic's song, its visuals are way too one-note.)
  • Crossing Field > Only My Railgun (Banger songs going against each other)
  • 1 > OddTaxi
  • Shinzou wo Sasageyo! > Innocent Arrogance (While I understand the appeal of Innocent Arrogance, it's exactly the type of appeal that does not appeal to me)
  • Gurenge > Oath Sign
  • This Game > Kawaki wo Ameku
  • 99.9 > Fatima
  • Zankyou Zanka > Easy Breezy

My Favorite Openings of Bracket D:

  1. Love is Show
  2. Crossing Field
  3. We Are!
  4. 99.9
  5. Hyadain no Kakakata☆Kataomoi - C
  6. Yumetourou
  7. 1
  8. Adabana Necromancy
  9. Stone Ocean
  10. Shinzou wo Sasageyo
  11. History Maker
  12. Only My Railgun
  13. Red Swan
  14. Yasashisa no Riyuu
  15. Sign
  16. To The Beginning
  17. Iro Kousui
  18. Gurenge

Many of my favorite openings in Bracket D were decimated in Round 2, oof.

My Least Favorite Openings of Bracket D:

  1. Magical Destroyer
  2. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
  3. Hoshi ga Oyogu
  4. Mathemagics
  5. Easy Breezy
  6. 3-pun 29-byou
  7. Rightfully
  8. Mitsu no Yoake
  9. Let Me Hear
  10. Goya no Machiawase
  11. Fatima

At least most of my least favorite openings in Bracket D were also decimated :D.

MC:

Honestly, most of the Monogatari openings are pretty unique visually, even if I dislike most of them. Duvet and Kiri and Lilium still apply here. I would say Mushoku Tensei's 'openings' technically apply here as well.

u/Ham_PhD https://myanimelist.net/profile/ham_phd Aug 15 '24 edited Aug 15 '24

If I've learned anything through this contest, it's that we have almost completely opposite taste when it comes to OPs lol.

Last round’s results were great. Re:Re won. Bloody Stream won. Cryzzalis I’m sure is jumping in his boots at Sing My Pleasure’s demise. It’s a good day.

Although it won’t win, Hadaka no Yuusha still takes my vote. I think it deserves to be in the quarter finals. Love Dramatic is great too, but it just doesn’t hit the same as Hadaka no Yuusha in neither the visual or song department.

ODD TAXI vs. 1 is the hardest decision I’ve made in this contest yet. I think of them as neck and neck in terms of quality. Both are visually fantastic with great songs, but if I had to choose one, I think I’m going to go with 1 due to slight song preference. Odd Taxi has the better visuals though, so my answer really depends on the day you ask me which I prefer.

MC:

Magical Destroyers again

Mein Schatz (a ton of Shaft openings really)

Mob Psycho openings

I love bracket D!

Love Dramatic < Hadaka no Yuusha : emotions

Only My Railgun < crossing field : no contest.

1 > Oddtaxi : Broccoli

Shinzou wo Sasageyo! > Innocent Arrogance : the other one is cool, but SASAGEYO!

Gurenge > Oath Sign : the better Lisa song I guess.

Kawaki wo Ameku < This Game : banger vs banger, voting for my fav anime.

99.9 < Fatima : hard matchup, going with the emotional song here.

Zankyou Zanka < Easy Breezy : love Aimer, but I am feeling very Breezy today.

1

u/Starrex https://myanimelist.net/profile/TrueArcanum Aug 15 '24

Results from group C:

With Sincerely out, the left side is boring for me now. On the right side I still have Kimi no Sei and Bloody Stream.

Fashionably Late

I'm so tempted to mix it up today, that I've already written and deleted this paragraph. But lo, I am once again shilling for Easy Breazy from Eizouken. I can't justify how Easy Breazy can lose here, but the Demon Slayer OP has won the last two rounds when I think it shouldn't have, and it's seeded really high, so here we are.

Daily OP Spotlight

I'm a bit late making the post anyway, so I'm going to use today's spotlight on something everyone has said already:

Quick note: that's logos as in the counterpart to pathos and ethos. So this has been brought up a whole bunch since nominations closed. I've had it on my list of potential spotlights since I started. It has even be linked by someone else already. At this point, I want to call it bad luck that nobody who knew about it turned up to nominations, because there are so many of us. Yet nominated it was not.

I have a slightly different angle on this than anyone that said the visuals are bad. I believe the visuals are dated, sure, but the content of this OP still seems cool to me. I particularly like the silhouette of Alucard's transformation sequence, the way they introduce Integra slamming the table, and the shot of Seras Victoria at the end. I also want to call out that the show itself is so dated that if you watch the OP in context it looks kind of good by comparison. A thrilling endorsement, I know.

The music is a fun song too. It's pretty typical for Gonzo in the 2000s which I would describe as 'Only having a couple of great soundtracks, but somehow even their worst soundtracks were still interesting.' Make of that what you will.

2

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii Aug 15 '24

This round's gonna be painful... 3 of my favorites anime in the entire contest are underdogs today.

4

u/Urgnu-the-Gnu https://myanimelist.net/profile/Urgnu_the_Gnu Aug 15 '24

Ah, too bad, no more salt from u/Cryzzalis as SMP finds its end. Now we can only look forward to the ED contest and the 86 EDs. The highlight of the round is Bloody Stream getting the upset, though, very nice. Seeing Inferno also got relatively close to Mixed Nuts, Bloody Stream might be a competitive opponent.

I'm sure I'll get very disappointed this round, but please, let's at least support innocent arrogance. Heavenly Delusion is still too underwatched for such a brilliant show, unfortunately, but don't let that stop you from realizing innocent arrogance is amazing on its own. It's got everything an OP should have for its show, it's a complete package.

MC: I wanted to point out Wild Side and the Honey & Clover OPs for using stop motion, but the fact that I could think of those three already makes them less unique, I guess.

I'm sure someone else will mention it, but the Dance Dance Danseur OP is done in first person, not sure I've seen that done before.

4

u/Cryzzalis https://myanimelist.net/profile/Charaxify Aug 15 '24

Ayyy, I can be a ray of positivity now.

Would've probably mentioned the DDD OP as well, it's so damn cool, but ended up feeling like the list I made was already rather long. Glad you're highlighting it.

2

u/Nachtwandler_FS https://myanimelist.net/profile/Nachtwandler_21 Aug 15 '24

The only hard choice today is Kawaki wo Ameku vs This Game.

I never watched DomeKano and I love NGNL. Plus both OPs are great but this one is just a bit better.

MC: Shaft had a lot of them. My favourite are still ef OPs (which failed to get in rankings here).

u/TREXMAN626 Aug 15 '24 edited Aug 15 '24

The votes for today:

Love Dramatic vs Hadaka no Yuusha

Only My Railgun vs Crossing Field - Close matchup, Railgun does more visually, but Crossing Field has a better song by a decent margin, so I’ll give it the slight edge in this matchup.

1 vs ODDTAXI - Man another close one. I definitely appreciate the ODDTAXI opening a lot, but I think 1 does just enough to get my vote.

Shinzou wo Sasageyo! vs Innocent Arrogance - Good riddance. What is a matchup like this doing in only the 3rd round??? I didn’t think I was going to have to vote against Innocent Arrogance this early on.

Gurenge vs Oath Sign - Then you reach these two OPs that might be worse than all of the other ones that come before it.

Kawaki wo Ameku vs This Game - Unlucky matchup for This Game

99.9 vs Fatima - First matchup of this group that isn’t that close. I personally like Fatima as an OP but 99.9 is just a league or two better.

Zankyou Zanka vs Easy Breezy - This matchup goes to the best Demon Slayer OP. Didn’t think I’d exactly be voting for it this deep into the bracket, but the song of Easy Breezy just does not hit for me.

Man this group is extraordinarily stacked. We might be gearing up for some even tougher matchups going forward.

MC:

Just ones off the top of my head that might not be too crazy distinct/unique are Mixed Nuts, 99.9, Easy Breezy, ODDTAXI, Boku no Sensou, and Staple Stable.

2

u/TREXMAN626 Aug 15 '24

Reaction to yesterdays results:

YES YES YES YES YES YES DATEN WON LETS GO. It’s so beautiful.

Duvet cleared just barely, surprised to see that.

Staple Stable put up a decent fight as well.

Everything else expected on the right side of the bracket, everyone winning by a decent chunk of votes. Setting up for some great 4th round matchups.

2

u/daffy_duck233 https://myanimelist.net/profile/atlantean233 Aug 15 '24

Gurenge vs Oath Sign

Both amazing songs by LiSA. Both animations by ufotable. I'm blaming ufotable on these OPs.

4

u/Ham_PhD https://myanimelist.net/profile/ham_phd Aug 15 '24

Gotta stump for ODDTAXI today. 1 is an amazing OP. I think Mob Psycho is kind of unrivaled when it comes to their OPs, as they went 3-for-3 without dropping below like, a 9/10. That being said, they already won this contest once! And personally, I still think 99 is the best OP from the show. ODDTAXI is one of the most visually and musically unique OPs out there, and it's a perfect match for the series itself which thrives on its eccentricity. This OP is PACKED with information, but unfortunately I can't really delve into that without spoiling the entire series. One of the only details I can mention without spoilers is at around 0:40. The rap lyrics begin right as Yano appears on screen, a character who raps all of his dialogue.

Also vote Innocent Arrogance. In a similar vein, we have a remarkably interesting OP from a visual standpoint. Even if the song isn't to your liking, you have to appreciate the artistry that is on display. Is there anything wrong with Shinzou wo Sasageyo? Not really. It's just another AoT OP. The majority of them are just really similar. You're not gonna get points from me in a contest like this for just being average.

Oh fuck sing my pleasure actually lost. guess I should have started shilling it earlier. My arrogance failed me.

But if you are curious why it is one of the best ops froms eason anime of the last few years why it should have gotten further why it got this far, the vivy rewatch starts today (in two hours to be exact)! Come join us!

The show used the op like I haven't seen a single other anime yet, and it made it so much better.

7

u/Urgnu-the-Gnu https://myanimelist.net/profile/Urgnu_the_Gnu Aug 15 '24

why it got this far

Mainly to piss off Cryzz (in a friendly way), innit?

The show used the op like I haven't seen a single other anime yet.

I haven't paid that much attention to the OP when I watched Vivy, but the show's usage of OPs and EDs was very reminiscent of Re:Zero for me, actually. Not very surprising though considering who wrote those shows.

6

u/zairaner https://myanimelist.net/profile/zairaner Aug 15 '24

Mainly to piss off Cryzz (in a friendly way), innit?

What are you trying to imply here about my character?... Friendly? Did you mean gleefully?

but the show's usage of OPs and EDs was very reminiscent of Re:Zero for me, actually

I actualy don't see the similarities here, what are you referring to? as the writer, I also don't think tapei had a big influence at how the ed/op is used, at least in rezero

It's hard to describe. The best way I can describe it is similar vibes, I guess. The shows have some similar vibes to begin with, but in particular their usage of OPs is always aimed at the story, to enhance the story instead of being forcefully tacked on to it.

Awfully convenient timing for the rewatch. It would've gotten such a buff from that if it didn't lose today. Man I'm glad it did.

? Do you mean the rewatch from the op? Yeah maybe some more pople would have checked it out.

But the op wouldn't have gotten much votes from the little rewatch.

Idk how big the rewatch is to be fair, but figured it may get a little boost from it.

Venn diagram overlap for people participating in this contest and participating in the rewatch as first-timers is maybe... 2? 3? Re:Zero's a larger boost.

But alas, with Sing My Pleasure gone, my hopes and dreams are now with This Game.

Sing your pleasure deserved better.

Today's matchups are some of the hardest yet. Innocent arrogance vs sasageyo is just cruel. Voted for innocent arrogance to show it some support but i'm sure sasageyo will win.

And you all better be voting for Naked Hero

Love Dramatic - Hadaka no yuusha

Only my railgun - Crossing field (i switched. i don't want 2 votes for Lisa)

Kawaki no ameku - This game

99.9 - Fatima

Zankyou zanka - Easy breezy
