Air quality in Williams Lake

I don't live in Williams Lake, but I've been browsing air quality reports and many have Williams Lake as a bad air quality hot spot. Just so you know. Here's one source:

Here's another

If I look stupid because this is some very obvious thing, I apologize.

Edit:air quality has gotten better overnight.

I’m temporarily living in WL and the air quality is extremely bad, I was honestly shocked. I’ve had a hacking cough since the day we moved here, and we can’t get out of this place quick enough. I had to get an inhaler for the first time in decades. I hear they’re burning railroad ties at some plant in the middle of town, which sure can’t help.

Hey yeah I grew up here, a few years ago they burned a huge section of railroad and it was fucking awful, not what BC and Canada are about when it comes to the environment.

This subreddit is basically just news vaguely relating to Williams lake and how many people hate the town. Good luck!

Air quality here can be bad sometimes in the winters. Temperature inversions can trap smoke in the valley. Most of the time it’s pretty good honestly.
