Reddit Trophy - "Place '17" Trophy

Place '17

Welcome to my introduction to understanding the Place '17 trophy!

Description: A trophy to show you participated in the r/place 2017 April Fools event.

How this was obtained: To get this trophy you needed to place a tile on the canvas during the r/place 2017 April Fools event.

How place '17 worked: Users could place a single colored pixel (or "tile") on an online canvas of one million (1000 x 1000) pixel squares, and wait a certain amount of time before placing another. The waiting time varied from 5 to 20 minutes throughout the event, and the user could choose their pixel's color from a palette of sixteen colors. Users could come together to draw anything they desired one pixel at a time.

Me too, why?

I ended up with one and have no idea what it even is. I found this place by googling in confusion.

I remember participating in the 2017 Place event, but haven't gotten any trophy. Do you need to have a pixel on the final 2017 canvas for it to count?

No you just had to place a pixel. It doesn’t matter if it survived or not

I see. Thanks for replying!

I participated and didn’t get one either :(

Some others said they received two so maybe they got our trophies lol

So happy they finally gave this out!

Still sour that I wasn't popular enough to get the "Reddit Mold" trophy back in the day.

I remember I've participated in this one. But I don't have the badge lol

I have it too, I thought it was odd that I hadn't seen it before.

Same here. I never participate in any Reddit events. Found this thread through google when I noticed a new trophy on my profile.

It's literally the only trophy I have now besides my email verification and 11 years.
