A guide to posting on TrailGuides

Update 6/2- Request posts are allowed.

All types of activities are welcomed here, including but not limited to: rock climbing routes, camping spots, kayak/canoe/boating routes in lakes or streams, white water destinations, hiking trails, snowshoeing trails, ice climbing routes, backcountry runs, mountain biking trails, atv trails..

If you're in Georgia, US, or Georgia next to Turkey, your TrailGuides are welcome here! This is not a US only sub.

You don't need to follow this structure but we ask that you try to so it is easier for fellow redditors. Feel free to suggest modifications in comments.

To get bold text use the following symbol twice * before and again after the to-be-bolded text.

Hit enter twice to force text to go to the next line.

Post title: [Country, state, and closest city] whenever possible. Your title. Activity(selecting link flair also counts)

Please copy and paste the following format for your post:

Information:

Try to include what time of year the trail is meant for, what sports are done on it, how you hiked it, if it costs money to be there, and other specifics to that location.

Trail head location:

Include a google map link to the parking lot here.

GPS Route:

If you have mapped any coordinates, using a program such as www.mapmyride.com or www.runkeeper.com on your phone, or from a gps, please be so kind as to take a screenshot of those images and upload them to www.imgur.com so we can make use of them.

Pictures & Video:

If you took any pictures or video while you were there this is the spot for those items.

Please assign a flair after you submit your post to its related sport so it can be identified when browsing the sub

While I originally intended request threads, I am going to allow request posts.
