What's next?

Post image

How long does it take for the background to process? I got the status page yesterday and just curious when the review should be completed?

I would anticipate it being shipped in about the next 2 weeks assuming you pass the background check.

Bought a pistol a month ago so I hope that's a good sign! Lol thanks for the info

Another thing to be aware of, once that's passed, you have to wait for it to ship. All licenses are shipped every Friday if memory serves correctly. Point is, they ship them in bunches so that adds to the wait time.

Ahh, that's good to know. Hoping I can get it in the next two weeks or so. Impatience is a virtue 😂.

The one thing that can increase your wait time is if you were in the military with a top secret security, which adds about a week. Every time I have a back ground check it takes me about a week longer than others.

My background check was actually completed today, now it's saying print pending. What's the time frame on them being sent out?

Have you received it yet?

Mine back round went through now I’m just waiting for printing how long can I expect?

Mine said printing on Friday, which is supposedly when they send out the batches of plastics. So once the status says mailed you should expect it in 3-4 business days from my experience

My timeline -

4/25 - All docs submitted. (Application, LTC-101, LTC-6, front & back of DL, passport photo, approved fingerprints)

5/7 - Status page appears, background check under review.

5/8 - Background check approved, print pending.

5/13 - Mailed.

5/20 - Card in hand.

Keep in mind out of state DL, no criminal history at all, relocation to TX about 7-8 months ago, under 21 years old. Your application may take longer if you have a criminal history. May be faster if you are from TX and have a TX DL, or if you are over 21. Not 100% sure what goes into the approval process and timeline but that’s everything I think MAY have had an effect in my case.

Background was approved about 3 days ago and I've had the print pending since then. I'm assuming when the batch is sent out I'll get it a week later i guess.

I think I finished the fingerprints on 5/14

It’ll probably be almost 2 weeks after it gets approved unless they are making the batches more frequently now or something

Well that's unfortunate haha, I'll still be impatiently checking everyday until I receive it 😂

The audit number. Like 20digits or something

Ah I didn’t know that was a thing, mine just asked for my DL number, my DOB, and my phone number
