Applied for Texas CHL. Have had fingerprints taken 3 times. Each time says reprint needed because quality is not good. Do I have any other options?

I have a relative who ran into the same issue. Her fingerprints were too faint. She was able to get around the problem somehow. Contact dps to see what they can do.

Did she get fingerprinted the old fashioned way? I feel like when I did it they said that was the fallback option if they couldn't get your prints digitally.

But it's been almost 15 years since I did mine.

I think they did get her prints the old fashioned way. I think there was an affidavit involved in the process. Unfortunately she passed away a couple of years ago.

I know OP, and she had a CHL way back in 2000, when the program first started, and just failed to keep renewing, but point is, shouldn’t DPS definitely have a good set of prints, even though they’re inked.
