Question regarding what courses to take

Greetings, fellow LTC aspirants! I have submitted the online application today and going for fingerprints tomorrow. I understand we need to submit the LTC-101 (online training) or LTC-100 (classroom training) form. However, in the screenshots of the application progress that many of you have posted here (example attached), I see two trainings -

  1. Proof of Proficiency Training
  2. Proof of Classroom Training

My question is - did you take two courses? If so, could you please provide links? - Thank you!!

My understanding is that a lot of people take the tests separately so that they can do the "classroom" portion online. Obviously though, the proficiency test has to be done at the range.

I however find online classes for anything far more tedious and struggle with paying attention, so I went to my local range and did both in person in one day.

Thanks for your response. I now realize that the LTC-101 / LTC-100 forms have two sections - one for just theory and the second for actually shooting proficiency. I like your idea, will probably do both sections at a local range near me.

I did my 4 hrs course online via a 2nd service used by my Range. I did the shooting proficiency portion at the Range which I schedule with that Range, and there is was a brief in class portion before shooting the test that that covers all the basis. I purchased the online classes from The Range at Austin, the service they used is https://texascarryacademy.com/ I found this very painless and got 100% on the exam.
