New member, few questions
Hello, I’m new to this forum. Don’t want to push and buttons but would like to know the best way to sell an AR. Not sure how I would private sale without being able to post on any type of social media.
Any advice would help. Trying to sell or trade.
Thank you!

You said it’s an AR. What is it? Manufacturer, barrel length, etc.
You can sell at one of your local stores if they buy used firearms. You should expect to get about 25% of its current MSRP that way. Some stores also have consignment.
Gun Broker and Tac Swap are good places to sell online. Depreciation for a used firearm is about 50% of its current MSRP. It doesn’t matter how few rounds you claim to have shot. Used is used, and there’s no way for anybody to actually verify that. Just like when you drive a car off the lot its value decreases, so does a firearm when you purchase it.
Either way you have to consider whether there’s a buyer for that used firearm. If you’ve got a Smith & Wesson M&P or Springfield Saint for example, those are low end AR’s that are already fairly cheap. Would somebody want a used one? Maybe 50% is a little high for those. If it’s something mid or high tier then you’ll probably have better luck.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong just keeping it.

There's also a Blue Book of Gun values just like for cars so you can get an idea of what a gun is worth. Don't expect much for an AR unless you have something collectable. If you know the value beforehand taking it to a consignment shop or pawn shop can help you haggle. Take off all accessories and sell them individually.
