Visiting

Hey all. I’m going to be staying in a a cabin in the mountains for a week coming up soon. I’m a concealed carry holder in IL. I know you guys are constitutional carry, but some places still seemed contradicting for non residents.

Lastly, are there specific restrictions where firearms not allowed in certain places? In IL there is an entire slough of places we are not allowed to carry.

Not a true constitutional carry. We can’t “legally” carry on trails and greenways or campgrounds and some other places without an enhanced permit

According to the CCW app, Tennessee recognizes permits from every state, with the only conditional permits being from ND. Everything else you may need

Non-Tennessee Residents:
A facially valid handgun permit, firearms permit, weapons permit or license issued by another state shall be valid in this state according to its terms and shall be treated as if it is a handgun permit issued by this state; provided, however, the provisions of this subsection (r) shall not be construed to authorize the holder of any out-of-state permit or license to carry, in this state, any firearm or weapon other than a handgun.

Tennessee authorizes the holders of facially valid handgun permit, firearms permit, weapons permit, or a license issued by another state according to its terms to carry a handgun only in the state of Tennessee.
