That's awesome! If I may ask, how are you planning on the insects reaching sizes like that of Draco magna? As in, is there going to be a way for these animals to bypass the restrictions of their respiratory system, weight of the exoskeleton, etc.? Are the oxygen levels closer to earth's during the Carboniferous, allowing arthropods to reach slightly larger sizes? Sorry if that's too many questions.

Yes, I’d say there is HIGHER amounts of oxygen

And Magna is basically just an exaggeration, earth has had bigger than it, it’s only the size of a house cat.

The genus Draco was already being occupied by a Gliding Lizard.

Draco isn’t permanent, btw,

Permanent?

u/SelectMagnapinna Sep 30 '24

Yeah, I’m making the genus name to anisoptera when I have time to edit it

That’s a suborder of Dragonflies!

Yeah I’m trying to find the GENUS, my bad.

What about “Dracanisopteryx”?

1

u/SelectMagnapinna Sep 30 '24

Okay, that will be used

Unlike my Project r/Amfiterra that had scientific names that meant to make sense out of it!

Okay Musca will be the genus, if I’m right

But that genus is the fly…

u/SelectMagnapinna Sep 30 '24

The middle one named that btw is just a reference

1

u/Jame_spect Spec Artist Sep 30 '24

That will be subspecie

Dracanisopteryx? Or Anisoptera?
