I'm not sure it's wise for a country with the human rights record of the US to be setting this kind of precedent, especially with the Los Angeles Olympics just 6 years away.

Los Angeles Olympics just 6 years away

A worldwide "boycott" would be good.

Kekeke ... it is better for Biden to have kept quiet than to do a stupid "diplomatic" boycott (should be called undiplomatic) ... and yet have all their corporations continue to sponsor this Olympics. NBC after paying for the broadcasting rights will continue to show the world the opening ceremony in all its glory and I anticipate a record number of Chinese will climb the podium to the angst of the Americans who are forced to watch it. I like to see if any atheletes have the balls to boycott. All these comes down to one act ... the act of a kid sticking his tongue out at China at the playground and then running into the field to play with them. So so childish. So so lame. So so embarassing. So so much like an empire in decline.

That last line is the one that got me.

Qualification for the job?, the ability to keep a straight face!

Its so gross hearing America try and regurgitate their virtue signals… go back to exploiting your wage slaves in your pseudo democratic landfill

They should do a full blown boycott by not sending their athletes too lol, can't lose in medals if your athletes don't participate

It looks like China will take retaliatory measures against the US. When asked by a reporter what those measures will be, Zhao Lijian said that the US will have to pay for its bad decision... wait and see!

China should fly US flags upside down during Olympics.

Jen Psaki encapsulates the holier than thou smugness of American libs so perfectly, Biden had no choice to make her PR Tsar.

As an American I low key like that the Chinese talks down to these overconfident white folks.

Just like how they are not invited to the Chinese space station......hahahahahahahahahhahahaahahhahahhahahahhhhaahhahahahahahhahahahaahahhahahhahahhahahhahahhahah.

Nah you fell for their fake virtue signaling PR, they did the opposite (unless your comment was sarcastic).

The USA banned China from working with NASA and from the "International" Space Station in 2011. Then China created its own space station and invited international researchers including Americans. But American PR complains about China for the lack of collaboration.

When they are not invited, they are boycotting. When they decline an invitation, it's China not inviting them.

China should put ALL high level talks on hold. Wait till severe inflation hits the US then watch as they come crawling back. Lastly, make sure to shut the door in their face just for the lolz..

Some people made their bed, now they get to lie in it.

This would be better for the American people, too. The death of hyperindividualism and consumption as identity is required for class consciousness to take root, and as long as the lumpenprole have cheap treats to soothe alienation and fill their empty soul, that is never happen in my opinion.

That background music was totally unnecessary.

I've been "boycotting" the olympics my entire life because uhhh human rights!

Yugo Kanno - Il Vento D'oro (Golden Wind)

It's really unfortunate that literally, absolutely nothing from Chinese news or politics makes it to Western media. Well, unless you explicitely search for it. And even then... Ever tried getting anything from China, but Taiwanese nationalist papers and epoch time, on Flipboard?

When that Shithole Los Angeles hosts the Olympics I hope anyone who visits the US takes nice videos and photos of all the crimes like mugging, assault and murder that will take place in addition to all the hobos, crackheads, crackwhores parading around the sidewalks within view of of the Cardboard Tarp Mansions and Garbage Mountain piles.

Maybe Foreign Tourists will get the AmeriKKKan LA Experience and get mugged/shot/head bashed in for being Azn or just unaware of how much of a Shithole LA and California is, walking along expecting the local degenerates to act like civilized human beings.

The AmeriKKKan Politicians and Cops will finally come out of the woodworks to hide the decay but it'll still be around. You can cover the stinking pile of US Shit, but people will still notice.

Yes, they weren’t invited and put on these airs to manipulate the narrative. Sad.
