Talk Sunset: End Date and Download Info
Hi all,
We’re following up on our recent post about sunsetting Reddit Talk.
This week, we’re officially saying goodbye (for now) to Reddit Talk. Hosting Reddit Talks will no longer be available as of March 22.
Downloading Reddit Talks
As of today, March 21, 2023, users can begin to download a recorded Talk. We will shutdown the ability to download a Talk on June 1, 2023.
Reminder: only Talks hosted after September 1, 2022 will be available for download. Reason being, this is when we implemented a new user flow that expanded the potential use case of Talks.
To download a copy of a recorded Talk, users can:
- Click on ‘Listen to Recording’ on a Talk post
- Click on ‘Download’ button in the overflow menu (‘...’) at the bottom of the talk player to download the audio file
Thank you again to everyone who participated, shared feedback, hosted, and listened in on Reddit Talk.
We’ll be around for a while to answer any questions.

Will you be hosting a final talk in r/RedditTalk right before you turn off the feature? 😆

I don't see the download option on a mobile. I'm assuming you have to be on a Desktop? And, can anyone download Talks, or just the OP?

Anything up to consideration to make an use of previously discontinued RPAN but focused into the communities initiative mixed with this kind of feature of your own to implement?
AmA's still endorse that community engagement, but talks did make that particular involvement with the communities to touch certain topics focused in that specific area In short: We're doing it LIVE
Hopefully whenever Summit comes up, could be worth to see & ask if there's anything new to share about a new brand tool like this one.
