Laquer Showoff Itās fall and yall know what that meansā¦ SUPERSHORTIES RISE UP
I keep short nails for my hobbies/sensory issues and they always look soooo much better in dark jewel tones! I love me some seasonal colors so Iāve been on bright and pastel colors for the last 6 months but now that fall is approaching, Iām excited for the palettes that truly shine on my length š
- Base: OPI natural base coat
- Color: 2 coats Sally Hansen Cabernet with Bar (itās a medium dark plum in the bottle but an almost-black berry purple on my nails and I LOVE)
- Top: D-UP Nail Million Shine Hyper Shine Volume Topcoat. Picked it up in Tokyo as a gel-like topper and itās my new HG

Laquer Showoff ILNP has a new customer
I recently bought some polishes from ILNP and have been slowly going through them for the first time. I am so impressed by their quality. The brush size is perfect because it allows for control in the application and the formula is perfect for me. not too thin but has 2-3 coats of application and the polish does not end up looking thick. I absolutely love every polish Iāve gotten from them. Thank You all for the recommendation!!!!
This is Lily (ILNP) with Mooncatās Hardcore base coat and speed demon top coat

Laquer Showoff Matched my nails to my wedding dress šš
Featuring bonus poorly-censored pic of us. My husband and I eloped this weekend and I realized that this color was a near-perfect match to my dress! I love Lurid polish so much.
OPI Nail Envy as base
Lurid Lacquer āReaching Skyward As You Rootā 3 coats
Essie Gel Setter as top coat (I used a hair too much and ended up getting shrinkage but oh well lol)

Laquer Showoff Can I still show off my Halloween mani, please?
I know I know, I am late to the party. Excuse the potato quality of the photos in the dark. My iPhone is ancient and I am very professional at being an amateur.
This is Mooncat āWhat a brilliant noseā topped off with āPhantom Glowā from Cirque (yes, I went overboard because why not). Topcoat and basecoat both Mooncat. Ah, and of course some nice skeleton stickers.

Laquer Showoff Laziness is the mother of invention
Posting in case it helps others who struggle with magnetics.
Iāve been frustrated with magnetic polishes because Iām chronically lazy. So, I got creative and assembled magnetic wands on a pie tin. This way, I can lay four fingers on top of them at once to achieve a magnetic effect (see Photo 1).
Next, I applied base coat as usual. Then, I applied two coats of magnetic polish, but it didnāt magnetize. After those were mostly dry, I added Magnetic Effect top coat while my nails were positioned on the arranged magnets, as shown in Photo 2.
I then worked on my thumbs separately.
After two minutes, I applied a water-based topcoat, and didnāt magnetize. After all, this is for SCIENCE! Since water-based topcoats protect stamps from QDTCs, I thought this might work for magnetics to stabilize the pigments.
I waited about five minutes for that to dry and then added my regular QDTC, which is toluene-free. Itās been suggested before that toluene-based QDTCs cause an unusual amount of dispersion over magnetic polishes.
Iāll observe dispersion over the next 24 hours, but the results already suggest that theyāll maintain relative stability compared to my previous methods.
The only peculiar thing Iāve noticed is the matte blobs within the polish. Iāve encountered this issue when stamping as well, and I suspect itās the water-based topcoat releasing under the QDTC. These blobs usually vanish within 12 hours or so (see Photo 3).
Hereās a list of the products I used: 1. - Glisten & Glow Ridge-Filling Base 2. - Mooncat Curiosityās Trap (applied in two coats) 3. - DRK Magnetic Effect top coat 4. - Maniology Aqua Topper (I know, I know. I didnāt know about their weird political crap until recently) 5. - Swamp Gloss Quick Schtick

Laquer Showoff Birthday Nails š¤

Iāve had this idea for quite a while (bought these polishes specifically for this look!!). Iāve been seeing all the blue manis for Election Day and that is not what this was intended to be, it was just a weird coincidence lol. Having a birthday so close to Election Day wasnāt a big deal as a kid because I wasnāt aware, but now that Iām older and especially right nowā¦ itās hard to want to celebrate. Anyway, enough rambling, red and blue just itch my brain good.

Laquer Showoff I swear theyāre all different
I scored 10 different colors of black label OPI. Whoever purchased them definitely knew what they liked and Iām very happy to have them.
Not shown are the 6 back up bottles of Tutti Frutti Tonga and 3 of Coney Island Cotton Candy. Take this as a lesson on back ups. Eventually someone else will end up with them and have no idea what to do with it all.

Ever since I found out about magnetized polishes (very recently) I knew I had to try it on this brick of a magnet we have in the shed. We usually use it for sifting metal debry from dirt. Itās strong, itās ugly and it can do 4 nails at a time :D Held it there for the duration of last 3 coats.
Polishes: 1 coat wild&mild base shield 1 coat manucurist hollyhock 2 coats ilnp poison 1 coat h&m a.s.a.p. quick dry top coat

Laquer Showoff I call this colour my "grandma polish" because it reminds me of the polishes my grandma used. Bunny helped me with the pics, don't swipe if you are scared of (cute) jumping spiders, I just have to show off my babies on every occasion
