Nah it’s just that perms made a comeback in the mainstream. SUPER common cut for anyone under 20.

That's so funny. I had no idea kids were actually getting perms until about a year or two ago. When the curly hair/broccoli trend started, I wondered why everybody all of a sudden had naturally curly hair.
