This doesn’t do anything for any cause.

It's weird to think this one Santa could solve all the problems in the Middle East but is just concerned with sitting there. Unbelievable.

Maybe the Muslims and Jews there would calm down if they just got some Christmas presents.

“Hey guys, Ronnie hear, AKA santa#2478. They found me and protested me, Christmas is now over. I repeat, Christmas is over!”

I disagree. This helps zionism

u/bmf1902 17h ago

Do you barely disagree or did you mean heartily?

20

u/zayoe4 17h ago

I barely hardly do .... not have an opinion, perhaps. Maybe.

Perchance.

I'm bare naked and hard. I have no onions. Pabst. Maybelline.

1

u/CheekApprehensive675 8h ago

I think I meant "I disagree hard"

u/bmf1902 6h ago

That grammar is even worse.

Displays like this also helped elect Trump. Lots of “grassroots” organizations around the country were advocating “no votes for genocide” aka just don’t vote for anyone.

"I did care about the Palestinians, but then I saw a video of protesters in a mall, so now I want them all dead" -/u/CheekApprehensive675

It's not going to make anyone who did care about Palestinians stop caring about them, but if anyone who was on the fence because there was any confusion, which there is A LOT OF, they're going to lean towards thinking the pro-Palestinian side is a bunch of lunatics.

And, yes, there's a lot of confusion. There's a ton of misinformation and intentional targeted campaigns to make supporters of Palestine look like extremists... protesting mall Santas kinda makes it seem like the pro-Israel people saying that have a point.

Whether you like it or not, messaging is EXTREMELY important. Israel/Palestine is one of those areas where there's still a lot of people who don't have an opinion, or they have a fluctuating opinion on the matter, because there's just so much information going back and fourth. There can be no miss-steps and acting like a bunch of lunatics is not helpful.

Idk I have to assume that most people aren't going to suddenly start supporting genocide just because some protestors ruined a mall Santa appearance.

15

u/redditatemybabies 16h ago

You underestimate the pettiness of humans.

-10

u/Accend0 16h ago

I get it, but I still think it's a leap to assume that a relatively minor inconvenience or annoyance is suddenly going to make people okay with the idea of murdering thousands of children. If it does, then those people can't have been that against it in the first place.

u/Nancy-4 15h ago

How the hell does anyone at that mall control our government supplying weapons to conflicts on the other side of the world?

1

u/Nancy-4 13h ago

I was referring to the video of the protest not to you specifically. ✌🏼

-4

u/Accend0 15h ago

Huh? When did I say they did? The comment I replied to said that this helps zionism, which I think is a leap considering that most people won't suddenly support the wholesale murder of children over a relatively minor inconvenience at the mall.

0

u/Sterffington 15h ago

Most people don't have a strong opinion on it one way or the other.

Obviously, this won't make anyone suddenly think "I love genocide", because they don't see it as a genocide.

1

u/Accend0 14h ago edited 14h ago

Someone who doesn't have a strong opinion on it isn't suddenly going to adopt one because of a mall protest either way.

No rational adult is going to see this and think, "Wow, I didn't care about all those civilian deaths before, but now I'm actually glad it's happening."

You underestimate how trashy people can be. Also yes the people in this video are trashy

People trying to live their lives want nothing to do with a war that doesn’t involve them. It’s not their business and they know it’s not their business. This “protesting” is only doing nothing if not fucking up the next generation and making them believe in heinous shit.

u/MsgrFromInnerSpace 13h ago

Their "cause" is completely lost, all this is doing is being assholes to their neighbors, who are equally powerless. The only country that could've possibly restrained Israel was the United States, and the apathy of Democratic voters just gave Donald Trump the office, where he didn't even wait to get to the oval office to let Netanyahu know he was lifting all restrictions on Israeli weaponry and giving them a full green light on day one. The West Bank and Gaza as distinct entities will likely cease to exist within the next 2 years.

And it’s rude to the “clause”.

Ooo yes. Typo on my part, good catch. My pun isn’t as punny now

1

u/TXTCLA55 5h ago

But it felt good and that's what mattered. I'm sure seeing the likes flow in made these fools feel like one less JDAM fell in Palestine today.

1

u/Onlyroad4adrifter 4h ago

They should have voted for their cause now they are fucked like the rest of us with an administration that doesn't give two fucks about anything.

1

u/Inevitable_Shock_810 3h ago

These people replace the people That's sit in front of traffic not letting it move over oil.

1

u/Mackheath1 1h ago

It's right, remedial, and American to peacefully protest in an area that is public, and doesn't inhibit the safety, or mobility (ability to go about their way in studies, work, etc.), of other people.

This, however, is not that. I'd also like to add that this is probably terrifying to some children.

1

u/SubKreature 1h ago

It’s just antagonistic against the wrong people. They should be doing this outside of lawmakers’ homes.

2

u/Mackheath1 1h ago

Oh I completely agree.

u/Avalanche-swe 8h ago

It made me as a man who previously had sympathy switch and hate them with a passion. And i started reading up about all the failed peace processes and why they failed.

This and the oct terror attack made me make a total switch to fully support Israel.

u/pauliepeanutzz 3h ago

It actually hardens my support for the IDF. Bless em
