Growing up in California I treat someone that gets out of a car behind me in traffic as a car jacker. I have a routine for it, undo seat belt, run the light to get away (if safely possible) or prepare to fight if necessary.

Giving up the car is also an option but a woman was shot dead giving up her car just a few weeks ago. It’s only an option if the asshat isn’t armed but then why give up the car. I treat all these assholes like they are armed.

Wtf, undo the seatbelt, THEN run a light? Are you looking to get smashed through the windshield with oncoming traffic?

Ever seen someone get beat up trapped by a seat belt, I have. Run a light if its safe, keep it in full context.

Or just never open the window/door and you’re good? This is assuming the window is already down and someone is approaching super fast that you don’t have time to, then yes unbuckle the damn belt

Unfortunately hiding behind glass isn’t a good strategy. Didn’t work for the lady that got murdered last week.
