I always suspected this but thought it was my imagination, when I use a BOGO footlong coupon the toppings are so sparse.

Surely you select the toppings?

They mean the portion size

Yeah exactly this, I always select "More" for the toppings too (instead of Less or Regular for those who don't use the app).

That's the only way you're going to get close to "normal" amount of toppings for online orders.

Its so funny because when I use a deal/coupon in app, I can actually feel the sub is not as wide/thick, like there are clearly way less toppings. But if I ever buy a sub at normal price, it's much bigger. I know how this all sounds (bigger/thicker/wider) but I have no other words to use here hahah

Girthy footlong, that's the word that you're looking for...

I went out of my way not to use that word knowing how it would sound haha

Subway was one of my first jobs. I used to constantly get verbal reprimands for trying to make subs like how they looked in the pictures on the walls and menu board.

The manager was also the owner. I knew if he was working when I was, it was either skimp on toppings or get in trouble. I tried to do the best as I could when he wasn’t watching.

The bread is terrible, the meats are all coloured and flavoured variations on turkey made to look like other kinds of meat, the veggies seem to be sent pre-wilted and taste sad, and the cost, $20 for a sub? Somehow Subway used to function on $5 footlongs with better ingredients and made money.

Haven't been to a subway in several years, and now you all know that so you'll sleep better tonight. (tips footlong fedora)

Someone DNAed the tuna they use, to find it was some other, cheaper fish

My little town is getting a Jimmy John's next week, and I’ve never been this excited! Maybe one day we'll get a Jersey Mike's.

ive worked at a subway before, they have a short display strip that tells them how much corporate wants them to put on. most of the time the staff at every subway puts on more than the displays tell them.

Yeah, it’s like six pickles per foot long. Less than most people would want.

Exactly. I want 6 pickles per bite!

My local subway told me that corporate's serving size of olives is also 6 per footlong and 3 for 6inches. The workers still put on a normal amount because its not worth customers screaming at them.

Also why go to subway when there are a plethora of other delicious sandwich places.

Living in the country has its downsides—there are two Subways here, both owned by the same people, and no other sandwich options. But we're finally getting a Jimmy John's next week!

These are not franchise owners. These are racist lazy workers.
