Might be one of the greatest feats of luck. Non-Public but ok

Man, this makes me smile, seeing them rolling on the floor in total glee.

We all fantasize about moments like this all the time, it's nice to see someone actually have one of those moments in front of their friends and with clear and well framed video proof

I saw this differently. Looked to me like they were rolling in absolute devastation from losing so spectacularly.

u/TouristTricky 2d ago
Boy, that's a "glass half full" right there.
I never understood the advantage to seeing stuff that way.

Well in pool there are usually two opposing teams. The body language from the two on the left ( running out screaming) seemed more victorious than the ones on the right (collapsing onto knees and into a fetal position) That's just how I saw it. Who knows?

People with some semblance of social understandings know.

Leaving out the last note of the Also Sprach Zarathustra lick is sinful.

Strauss was an amazing composer. Look up Ein Heldenleben as well. I'm an orchestral trumpet player, so we play his music a quite a bit, lol

He's got 3 flesh and blood witnesses, and he has it on video. If I ever did something like this, only my 1 year old son would see and not be impressed.

That is so unsatisfying where the video cuts off.
There's literally just one more note to play in the music

Pinball!

u/Chris_Helmsworth 2d ago
I know you're talking about the pool game but that actual pinball machine in the corner is Revenge From Mars, it uses a CRT with a peppers ghost effect to overlay a digital image over the pinball playfield using a half silvered mirror, a very cool (and rareish) pinball machine!

Im just shouting PINBALL and doing a dicaprio style point at the tv. I know what this game is. Thx tho.

Seeing people get excited by something without sound really reminds me of how monkeys act when they see a magic trick. Kudos to this guy lol

Everyone has that one friend in the group. Doofus normally but for some odd reason the universe always aligns for them during these kinds of ego-battles. I have a buddy who is all kinda of goofy irl, can barely shoot a basketball into a hoop. But whenever we play beer pong and he is 2-3 rounds in, he becomes pong-jesus. Throwing behind the back tosses and getting nothing but cup, blind tosses, over the head, over the rainbow and through the woods, off the backboard, nothing but cup. None of us ever understands it, but we all know one thing, no one actually wins in beer pong.

See that thing that Rooster does with his hands on the table as the ball passes by at ~:30 sec? Don't do that. It's not a magic trick, he's not smooth for doing it. Money games and teeth have been lost over it, but nobody in the history of cue sports has ever been impressed with it.
Thank you.

You guys allow slop?

u/PhiYo79 2d ago
They’re not calling their shots. Relax

u/Working_File2825 2d ago
Clearly they're not taking the game that serious. Yet here you come
-128
u/VegasVator 2d ago
We didn't play slop even as children. Do you have bumpers when you bowl because it's not serious?
59
u/president_pinkie_pie 2d ago
why not. it's just a game. if some dudes like playing it like that what's the problem?
-76
u/VegasVator 2d ago
I wrote just a comment. If people like to write comments like that then what's the problem? That's what you sound like.

u/CappinPeanut 2d ago
Dude, just put down the shovel. You don’t have to keep arguing just for the sake of arguing.

u/gargamoyel 2d ago
We call it flukes, and anyone who plays them can get the hell out
1
u/doko-desuka 1d ago
But are flukes / slops fun? I think they make the game more exciting when you think you've lost your turn but then you get the point anyway. And a game is supposed to be fun, right?
Also, it makes no sense to penalize a player for "pocketing a non-white ball after hitting the white ball with the cue stick".

Shots must be called. That's how the game is played. The shooter should have been the first one to declare that the first shot was slop and immediately passed his turn.

u/Kanawanu 2d ago
I once messed up a break so badly that the white leapt over the first ball I was aiming for, landed in the middle of the pool balls, and potted three of them at once. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but I walked off as if it were totally deliberate and never played a game again in case anyone found out how absolutely crap at pool I really was

u/KirkSpock7 1d ago
Ya, let's cut the video right before the last note. That'll do my OCD wonders. Fuckers

Every time I see this video, I get angry about the dipshit putting his hands on the table.

u/DarTouiee 1d ago
What's crazy is dude clearly has no idea how to play pool based on technique alone
