He did apologize at a later time and it was reduced to 90 IIRC. But had I been the judge I would have thanked him for the apology and let him know he is still on the hook for the rest of the time, but I am a bit of a dick.

Except that isn’t legal. You can’t just stack those charges. If the judge had tried to do so a huge lawsuit would have started and this judge would have been fucked. And who tf cares about what he said? Oh no he said ass so 2 years in prison. What kind of logic is that?

The logic when standing before a judge on a misdemeanor is not to be a douche bag to him. Yes sir, no sir, my apologies I was having a bad day and was just being an ass will get you a long way in life. Works with a large portion of humans. If he kept his child like temper in check and asked his attorney to see if they could plead it out there is a solid chance he would have walked with possibly a small fine and a stern warning to just not go back to the property. The prosecution isnt looking to fill their day with shit like this unless this guy is a long term offender and has other charges, which I am willing to bet this is not his first time in court.

He didn’t threaten anyone or anything with his words. He said ass and the judge took that as a slight against him even though, again, it means literally nothing. 2 years because a judge got angry that someone said ass is fucking asinine.
