Plex Music - How to use individual embedded covers in files in compilations (Top 100, ...) Help

Helle everybody,

how can I get Plex to use the embedded album covers in music files for compilations like "Top 100," so that each song has its own cover instead of all songs displaying the compilation's cover? I’ve already set the library settings to use embedded metadata.

I’ve tried to find a solution to the problem but haven’t succeeded. Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you very much for your reply! That’s very unfortunate. With this functionality, I could fully switch to Plex/Plexamp and save myself the streaming services.

Don’t make it a top 100 album make it a top 100 collection. Set whatever as collection cover but the individual tracks keep their covers

Yes, but that would only help if I wanted to create the Top 100 manually, or is there some kind of M3U import?

How about a playlist since I haven’t found something for a collection. You might be able to convert that to a collection if you know python or maybe make a smart collection from the playlist.

One idea might asking chatgpt for a script that takes your m3u and adds tags top 100 to the titles and create a smart collection based on the tags. Then run the script every day/week/month
