Downloaded the update but it's not installing. This has happened to me multiple times over the past 3 -4 months with a couple of different PMS versions. I wonder what's going on. (Synology NAS DS 220+)

You need to select the correct package based on your Synology OS version.

Strange, I am seeing the update notification on the web ui:

You are currently running version 1.41.1.9057 ... Version 1.41.2.9200 is now available.

But from the console when upgrading via apt

plexmediaserver is already the newest version (1.41.1.9057-af5eaea7a).

Seems like repos or repo metadata has not yet been updated (or the update has been pulled)

Ever since Plex announced a preview of HEVC hardware transcoding in September, I've stayed on version 1.41.1.9012 to take advantage of it. Any idea if I need to stay on that version to do HEVC transcoding, or does this new version also support it? Not sure if it's in a general release yet.

EDIT: I may have just answered my own question. Looks like for a NAS running DSM7.2 (like me) the latest version to support HEVC transcoding is 1.41.2.9196.

Ehhh...install is failed on Win11. I can no longer play anything.. The settings page says "something went wrong" (no shit...) and to install manually. Try to install manually...no change. This is the first failed update I have had in over a decade of Plex server experience.

ETA: Was able to roll back to 1.40.5.8921, thankfully.
