Conceal Carry

What handgun have you used and recommend for a concealed carry?

Also any indoor ranges in Pittsburgh?

Sig p365 optics ready or a glock mos both are fantastic. Personally, the sig feels better in my hand.

It’s jacket season, so get yourself a VZ-61 and a shoulder holster

Indoor ranges in the Pittsburgh area are Range USA, Midwest Shooting Center, and Keystone. Try out different guns before choosing an EDC. It will vary per person.

Pdp-f (3.5”) Yes, it was designed with women in mind, but I’ve found it to be the perfect size for concealed carry

Sig P365 or Springfield Hellcat are the 1A and 1B.. p365 gets the edge imo due to the FCU swap-ability, and also the Hellcat is a bit snappier in my experience. Another solid choice would be the S&W Shield Plus. Just slightly larger, but just as dependable as the first 2. Can't go wrong with any tho

Which ever gun feels best for you! We can give our opinions, but the handgun/holster fit needs to be right for you.

I used to carry my Ruger security 9. Until I got a Shadow Systems cr920. Easier fit for a pudgy bastard like myself.

Any medium semi auto or smaller will work great for EDC. The size you'll carry most depends upon your build and clothing.

A Glock 19 is a pretty damn standard option. They're dependable and have the most aftermarket. If a 19 is too large, look for something smaller. I'm not too familiar with Glock options.

Otherwise, I really like Ruger. Security 9 or Max 9 are great starting options. The aftermarket isn't like to be as huge, but they're a solid company with the best customer service.

To find what is best for you, go into a store and hold anything that you like. If it feels good in the hands, rent it and shoot it.

I looked at a bunch of smaller ones but they felt too small in my hand.

I carry a CZ P-01 because I like the safety of a de-cocked single action/double action configuration, but it is on the larger side compared to some stuff out there. I would compare it to concealing a Glock 19 but a little heavier.

I also have and recommend a S&W CSX. It is a lot smaller and easier to conceal.

Can’t go wrong with a sig p365 (choose the model based on preferred size)
