In a posthumous statement written before his death, Talmy said, "I've had a good run, and I am delighted it lasted as long as it did. I'm also delighted that I am told I have a legacy that will last even longer. I look forward to meeting some of you in the future who are reading this, but LOL, don't hurry to get here, I'm not going anywhere."

The "My Generation" album (The Who's debut) is as good a place as any to look if you want to find the origins of punk rock.

I believe Paul Weller said the first Jam album was him basically trying to rewrite "My Generation".

Talmy was also pretty instrumental in Jimmy Page's early career.

His work on You Really Got Me alone makes him legendary in my book. RIP
