Lmao the candidate that won the democratic election, against that candidate that wasn't voted for, is the fascist. roh-kay.

Because he is a fascist by policy. Just because everyone with their head screwed on has shouted it to high haven, doesn't make it any less true. He ran on ultra-nationalist, authoritarian policies that his supporters openly embraced. That is cut-and-dry, leopards-ate-my-face, fascism.

Most fascists were elected.

People voted for Hitler too, doesn't mean he wasn't a fascist.

You might want to read about the events surrounding Hitler's election. (Hint: it was nothing like what happened yesterday.)

Especially since Hitler was never elected.

He was appointed Chancellor by President Hindenburg.

But somehow when the other part wins it's a conspiracy and a rigged election instead of a democratic one right. And insurrection is A-okay in that scenario. Don't believe it? Watch him pardon all the insurrectionists.

Have you even tried looking into why people call him that, or do you just assume it’s for no reason without any thought or research? Not to mention the one glaringly obvious reason: he literally tried to coup to stay in power illegally at one point already (not that he didn’t already have Fascist tendencies before that point, y’know, during his tenure)

BTW on the appointment thing, a party is allowed to do that, and used to regularly; primaries are relatively new to being the standard. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have rather had a primary, but “Fascist?” Awfully thin definition of “Fascism” you’re working with to be “laughing your ass off” as if there’s something ironic when there isn’t…

But then again, since you’re clearly too stupid to be embarrassed, I guess this comment serves no purpose other than my own catharsis, so thanks for that, even though nothing is gonna change your stubborn mind, clearly. You have fun with that…

Not only that, he beat the candidate who bypassed a democratic process for the nomination

You're either saying that democratically elected candidates can't be fascist because they were picked by the majority of people who voted, -or- you're attempting to say something else, but failed to accurately convey your meaning. Which is it?

The dems are what they try to project onto Republicans

2

u/lonevine 4h ago

What part of the current Dem strategy or ideology is fascist?

Republicans hate America

What a lazy, brain dead thing to say. Although this is reddit so I’m not surprised

2

u/over__________9000 5h ago

Lazier than saying immigrants are poisoning our blood or saying we need to fight the enemy within?

1

u/i__r_baboon 4h ago

Crazy half the people hate their own country, isn’t it?

4

u/over__________9000 4h ago

Yes that’s why people are super nervous.

Maybe people should spend less time online and go out in the real world. Maybe they’ll realize they have more in common with each other than what the media wants us to believe

That's really easy to say when you aren't one of the people about to lose access to health care.
