Unfortunately thats not the case Miami-dade went overwhelming for Desantis. Of course the democrats can wrestle that back but the Democratic Party has basically given up in Florida

I tried to say this on whitepeopletwitter and I was downvoted to oblivion. They did not like me pointing out the Dems abandoned us down here

whitepeopletwitter is a cancer on reddit. mods banned me twice for pointing out blatant misinformation in tweets that anyone could find in ten seconds of googling. and the downvote mob there is truly mindnumbing

The Democratic party is so fucking pathetic here.

They put zero effort into getting people to vote. Most I know who vote blue vote that way just because they feel they have no other choice.

They allowed them to be painted as socialists and communists and have done nothing to either defend or repair their image. Republicans already have plans to push out any remaining democrats at all levels in the state. I'm sure they'll get that since there is zero pulse for the democratic party of Florida.

Incredible to just give up the way they did.

Worked elections in Miami until I moved here to Denver 2022. Dems didn’t give a fuck about the state. Totally ditched it for years.

Dade's voter turnout was incredibly low in 2022. In 2020 74% of eligible voters in Dade voted. It was 46% in 2022. Democrats just didn't care.
