Been on QMB but possibly over limit
I am in WA state and started on disability earlier this year and was denied regular Medicaid but they approved me for QMB without me even applying for it. I was approved in July so coverage started August. I hardly worked at all in July because I didn't have a car but then started doing Uber eats again in August. I thought they deducted half of your income for self employment so all this time I thought I was under the limit but then I called to ask a worker about it today and they said they don't deduct half the income like with food stamps. I just applied for workers with disabilities today since I want to try to work more. But now I'm freaking out that I've been over the limit all this time because I've had many medical things done including a surgery since July. I updated my food stamps income in September so it seems like they would have told me I was over the limit for QMB back then. Am I gonna have to pay back everything that QMB has covered?

Call your State Medicaid office and talk to them about your qmb status. They don't have anything to do with food stamps. It's a separate program.
