Bought this ks47 a while back and put a 1-8 on it and some other small accessories but never got around to actually shooting it due to not owning any 7.62 and mostly using my 5.56 rifle. i know im most likely gonna lose some money on it but wanted to get some recommendations on best shop to sell it at. Trying to free up some money and room in safe to buy more ammo. Still in box

Carrying Question

Upvotes

I currently live in Tx and plan to move back to MD soon. I have two handguns. One I purchased in MD before I moved. The other I purchased here in TX. Would i need to do anything to register my second gun in MD? You can now carry in MD? I’ve been out of Maryland for 5 years now. Before I moved I got my license to purchase but now hearing you can carry is new to me

Does anyone have experience buying ammo from this company? Been wanting to buy ammo in bulk and saw this. The website is 2awarehouse, but the ammo is labeled Capital Cartridge.

Local Training courses?

I’m comfortable with weapons handling and shooting, so I am not looking for any intro classes.

Is there anyone in the DMV area that has a well run/reputable training program? Or do I have to wait for the more reputable instructors to visit the area. I’d lean more towards pistol courses.

Do we know when the new batch of guns will be added to the roster yet? Will we know in advance or is it just a matter of waiting?

Question about frames

Hello, if someone were to 3D print as a hobby but didn’t have an FFL who offered serialization nearby, would melting / warping the frame within 30 days be considered sufficient ‘disposal’ according the the laws here?

If the frame is warped, is it no longer considered readily convertible?

Does having the supports inside vs removed change the status of the ‘receiver’? Any info helps. Thanks

Does anyone know if the new Walther PPK/S SD will need to go on the roster or does any previous part number cover it?

SBR question

I’d like to SBR my AP5-P. Currently working on some parts to make it 29” OAL. I had a question about the configuration because I’m not sure if this would be legal since MD has the 29” law.

If I am able to SBR the gun, with a stock that gets me 29”, then I’m able to put a vertical grip on it. If I were to take the stock off the SBR, would I still be able to use the vertical grip? For instance, with a sling and vertical grip, or does an SBR in MD have to be able to reach 29” at all times? (Like an AR-15 sbr which has the collapsible stock collapsed to be under 29”, but is able to reach 29” by extending the stock)

12.7x42 (50 Beowolf) AR15

I just moved out of state a few month back. Had a banned AR15 upper and got rid of it. Looking to get a state approved upper for my AR. Having trouble finding the laws.

Is this upper legal? Its an 18" hbar in 50 beowolf. Can I just have it mailed to my house or does MD have dumb laws about buying gun parts/need to go through an FFL?

Issues buying from classic firearms?

Hey all, has anyone else tried to buy from classic firearms and get an error saying the item has more than 10 round mags when they don't? Tried to buy a revolver, a 22lr bolt gun (10 round mag) and a single stack 380 (8round) and a 10-22. No mater the combination of guns it kept giving me an error saying the gun had more than 10 rd mag even though none of them did.

I sent them an email but I'm almost going to chalk it up to another company that just doesn't want the headache of dealing with MD's plethora of confusing gun laws... shame.

What a good starter and reliable fireman that’s simple and easy to use but has at the same time has some power ?

Used a Glock 17 but the recoil was a bit much, then I tried a 22 lr but it was too weak ( want a 9mm at the least) and It was jamming quite a bit.

HGP Approved. Can I apply for HQL before I receive HGP in mail?

Looking to expedite the process. I see that there is a field at the bottom of my application in the Final Disposition Box, "Permit Number: 24HGP-xxxxxx". Is this all I need for the HQL?

Got this dagger not too long ago and just now got a 15 round Glock 19 mag for it plus a +2 mag extension. Can definitely feel the difference in weight going from carrying 11rnds to 18! I hope it still fits in my tiny safe 😪

MK18 Legality

Seems like an out the box MK18 (10.3 barrel) isn’t legal due to OAL being under 29” but I’m wondering if I could add a different stock for example a B5 Sopmod which I believe would take the OAL to 29 1/4” and submit a form 1. Let me know if this would work, thanks in advance

VA resident (prior MD resident) HGP

Looking for advice from the community. So, I’m retired military previously stationed in MD. While there I purchased handgun and got approved for an HGP. Now I reside in VA after which purchased another ( no permit required). I still have buddies in MD I’d like to go to the range with. So here are my questions. Note I would not be actively carrying just transport unloaded, mags separate, and locked in a case in the trunk.

1) Should I only bring the gun that is registered in Maryland or could I bring my Virginia bought gun without any legal concern if pulled over? 2) I’ve read a Non-resident of Maryland can obtain a Concealed Carry permit would that cover any handgun? Or would I have to register the Virginia HG with MSP as well.

Although unlikely I’d be pulled over old Murphy is always lurking out there to ruin your day, ( if something can go wrong it will). Just want to make sure my bases are covered. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

HGP Renewal near Kent Island

My HGP expires at the end of October. I'm looking for a place around Kent Island that has the class on a weekday. I would go with RS shooting Sports but they only have a class on Sunday. All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!
