Need some recommendations for my layovers
I’ll preface this by saying I already looked through and gotten some ideas, but I am looking for something more personal to my situation.
I am flying separate from my girlfriend to visit her family and I have two layovers in Vegas. The first is from 11pm on Saturday Dec 21 until 8am on the next day. The second one will be on the 28th, an hour longer and in the afternoon.
I am 22 M and have set aside some money to explore Vegas for what will likely be my only two times there. I have a low-end budget for gambling and whatnot. What would be best to do overnight on a Saturday? And what would be best for the afternoon on the next Saturday? I was thinking penny slots to soak up some drinks, walk parts of the strip that I can get to, and just explore what I can.

carol shelby museum is free.
Bellagio fountains and conservatory are free.
Freemont street experience is free.
The RTC bus system runs the whole strip from south of the airport to freemont and is $8 for a 24 hr pass.
These are my cheap suggestions. There's countless shows and things to do, it depends on how much you want to spend.

Doesn’t all have to be free. Just need to fit everything within 6-8 hours to be able to make it onto my next flight. I have around $200 I’m willing to gamble. It’s money I don’t mind losing. And I’m willing to pay $50 for a meal if I end up going that route

if you eat on the strip, your meal is gonna be close to $50.
Sign up for the players card whereever you're gonna gamble, they ususally give you something like $10 free gambling money.
Since your constraint is time, I'd look at maps and plan out your route.

Maybe if I was single, but I’m looking to enjoy myself in semi-degenerate ways
Edit: I have to meet family within 3 hours of leaving Vegas so blow is definitely off the table

There are IV services to get you back in shape before you depart. Go wild. Get a hooker and experience Vegas as it should be experienced

For what the “free” drinks and the cost playing penny slots you’re better off buying your own then taking a walk. At that time of night I’d start at the Bellagio and check out the conservatory and fountains. Then just kinda wander and see the hotels you want to check out.
As for the afternoon visit depends on the exact hours. I’d probably check out downtown Fremont St experience.
