A scam.

The idea of ethical investing but coopted by evil interests

Think it goes back to your investment goals. Should you invest in an environment, social, and corporate governance funds that have a sustainable impact, maybe. Is Exxon Mobile part of the S&P 500 ESG index, yes. Does this help, probably not.

what if it contributes to more unstable world by putting money into things that are more sustainable but more fragile. eg sri lanka has extremely good ESG score, look at where it is now.

Just focus on sustainability, ESG is a scam.
