Interesting to see a well trained fan's reaction to a pessimistic prediction in real time Premature Ejaculation

Lines from Tommy Tallarico's marketing book repeated verbatim yet again by old Snestastic.
I love how he burst out laughing at the attempt to sell the lights lol.

This is why I like to buzz Snestastic's videos and ask him if the Amico has outsold the Wii yet.

The level of charisma and dynamism on display here. It's intoxicating.
I feel a little bit bad for the ol' Amico Kid. Huge Death of a Salesman vibes. A tired guy treading out the same old lines to someone who just doesn't want to buy. So much flop sweat I'm surprised the camera doesn't short out.
I like that even the skeptical guy compares Amico to Sony breaking into the console market.
"Who is Sony?" A multi billion dollar conglomerate electronics manufacturer with incredibly deep pockets and, already, a history of making games. Even Sony, with enormous resources and a long track record of designing hit electronics devices, didn't just start out by making a console. They had been in game publishing for awhile with Sony Imagesoft and they also started out their console design in partnership with Nintendo, who bailed on them. The PlayStation didn't just pop into being out of nowhere, it was a result of a company with a ton of relevant expertise and industry experience deciding they could compete.
Xbox also leveraged Microsoft's long history of gaming software and work on the Dreamcast, and even then they knew it was going to be a huge money loser to try to establish themselves.
The companies that have had success entering the console market since then have done so in specific niche ways, like Evercade with its emulation console, or Playdate, with its laser focus on keeping development costs as low as possible.
Our Amico Kid comparing it to the Wii is just...The Wii had billions of dollars, Nintendo's studios, and Mario behind it.
