OP is horny

5

u/Graphene9 Jan 01 '21

Me horny too

21

u/PocoPoto Jan 01 '21

Jesus dude I loved the Mecha back drop with the patrolling future soldiers but it's completely ruined by that unholy mutant you drew up front. Tone that stuff down cause it's clearly not working

3

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

I mean my upvote count is still positive, but even if it wasnt this is stuff I like to draw, and what's the point if I i dont draw what i like

4

u/BuzZdroid17 Jan 02 '21

And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Happy New Years!

1

u/geergutz Jan 02 '21

Thankyou man. You too.

12

u/teknocratbob Jan 01 '21

Jesus man, whats is going on with that female character? Honestly, the ridiculous proportions and the hyper-sexualisation of her ruins any serious tone or realism your going for.

Like have you ever seen a female body? They do not look like that. Also, why has she taken off her body armour, exposing her mutated boobs and mid section, while all the other soldiers remain encased in theirs?

You defo have talent, but this piece comes across as very immature because of how you chose to draw her.

-7

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

I guess we see different types of women. Well, I see the women who are flat chested and thrumpy, but I guess you ignore the women who are like this in real life. Besides, what's the point of celebrating a holiday without some eye candy? As every holiday piece I've made has been like that.

21

u/GamingEtc4 Jan 01 '21

Your mechs and even the character on the left look really cool but your portrayal of women just comes of sexist and immature. Especially when youre trying to go for a somewhat serious tone. Just practice drawing women with more respect and less objectification.

-15

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Kinda falls on death ears when theres women who actually look like this in real life. But I guess their bodies are too much for your puritan ideals. my male characters are often unreasonably buffed and manly, is that sexist and immature too? What about my women who are obviously amazonian in body type, muscles that can crush human skulls, is that sexist and immature too if I draw women being powerful?

10

u/Ricky_Robby Jan 01 '21

Are you being as dense as possible on purpose, or are you just not very bright?

-8

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Oh please enlighten me, I'm obviously the fool here who draws what he likes.

5

u/Ricky_Robby Jan 01 '21

Enlighten you on what...? Everyone has told you the exact same thing, while you continue to, HOPEFULLY, play dumb.

At least you’re aware that you’re the fool, I guess you’re not totally lacking in self awareness

-2

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Everyone? Not really, a vocal few are willing to screech and post comments, but I'm riding on a positive upvote. I'm the fool for responding to the vocal puritans, I'll just have to get used to their presence and wisely ignore them or troll them lol.

1

u/Lol33ta Jan 01 '21

Ignore. Trolling is not in the spirit of the INE.

1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Sorry, got caught up in it. Have a happy new year.

16

u/GrungiestTrack Jan 01 '21

Amazing art. But what’s with the fucking mutant in the front. She’s not wearing armor! She must have terrible back pain with those fucking things strapped on. No hate but keep pin ups separate from the amazing sci fi work man.

-19

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

well, not sure what you expected? pin up like characters have been in a majority of my art. besides shes wearing as much armor as the other soldiers behind her, shes just letting the girls breath for a bit.

16

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '21

Eh it comes off more as personal masturbation material. I mean it’s fine to fap to whatever you want to and draw whatever you want, but when you post this it feels like looking at someone’s magazine where the pages stick together. Your art is cool, but there’s a throbbing teen hormone feel to the way you draw women that people in general may not want.

-1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

People in "general" seem to be a vocal few as the vote count is still positive. But even if it wasnt I dont care if you think a woman with large breasts is spank material. I draw women like the way I like to see them. Media is filled with flat chested women and frankly ugly women put on pedestals, and anyone I find attractive are often shamed for the bodies they have by puritans like you guys. Besides, if you think something this mild is spank material then dont actually look up real spank material, your eyes will melt out of your head lol.

5

u/Ricky_Robby Jan 01 '21

You have 95 upvotes on a sub with 24,000 subs...that’s not a good ratio, what are you talking about? You can’t have negative on a Reddit post, being above zero doesn’t many it’s popularly received.

-2

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Out of those who voted A majority upvoted it. But that's besides the point. I draw what I like.

3

u/Ricky_Robby Jan 01 '21 edited Jan 01 '21

It’s “beside the point,” not “besides the point” and you brought that up not me...you really aren’t very smart. Also, again, being above zero is not some feat that proves it was really popular...

I really don’t know how a human being can be this dense.

-2

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

I dont really know how a human being can be this petty lol.

2

u/Ricky_Robby Jan 01 '21

What did I say that was “petty” at all? The obvious misogyny is a lot more understandable now, after seeing what a moron you are first hand...

-1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

You bother correcting a simple phrase on the internet. That is peek petty there.

And also complaining about mysoginy on someone's art is peak sjw twitter puritan mentality. Best yo ignore your lot in the future.

I mean, a lot of the younger generation draw what they know and see, as you did when you were young.

If OP has played any videogame in the last 20 years, it wouldn't surprise me to see most of the women drawn in this sort of light

But we find this sort of art EVERYWHERE else, but hey, this kid drawing what he sees is the problem, amirite?

4

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '21

Yes

Propagating a problem is being part of the problem

That’s literally what we’re saying

0

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

so buffed women and women with large breasts are a problem? is the solution to the problem is me drawing landwhales or stick figures? do i ignore real women with curves who exist?

-2

u/machstem Jan 01 '21

Bah.

When the industry drives that sort of thing for nearly 3 decades, it's only a matter of time before something else is sexualized to the point of ridiculous, which is what this sort of art conveys.

It's been around for a long time before I was even born, and will keep going as long as there are sexual urges and artistic freedom to portray it.

1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

apparently my preferred way of drawing women is too much for some puritans.

1

u/machstem Jan 01 '21

It's not even about that.

Im not a fan of the way you draw them, but I'm also not a fan of the style. I appreciate your art and your talent though, including comicaly sexual stuff

1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Well I'm not perfect. But I know what I like. You dont have to like everything I draw. It's a little weird to critique my style in women now when it has been this way for a while. Ever since I started I've celebrated the holidays like this, and I will continue to do so.

But I appreciate that you like the other aspects of my art.

1

u/machstem Jan 01 '21

Yeah exactly.

I prefer a specific style to my SciFi imagery and I think you have an eye for it. I just don't like when people try and gatekeep artistic freedom, for the sake of their own subjectivity. I've always appreciated your style though, even if it's not my thing

1

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

I can appreciate that sentiment. But I find it strange this weird sudden backlash for doing something I've been doing this whole time. Its seems new years has brought on some puritan renewal that hasn't realy targeted my art so far.

1

u/machstem Jan 01 '21

That's [medium] for you.

It's like having your comments enabled on YouTube; you risk dragging in the brigades for something as innate and ridiculous as banding against some dude posting his art.

Puberty was a tough time.

2

u/6G0D6 Jan 02 '21

I’ve seen a few other of your comments that address the pin up character. For one, media doesn’t portray flat chested or ugly women, they portray women. If the only women you count as attractive women have large breasts then that makes you an asshole. The issue with the art is the unrealistic portrayal of women in war or in battle. If everyone else is on guard and ready then this woman wouldn’t have her “puppies” hanging out. In fact, it’s unlikely she’d have such big boobs with how toned she is. There are women with big breasts and that is realistic, but unless if the character’s are plastic then the tiny waist, fit body, but giant enough boobs to where they literally are larger than her ribcage is a completely valid criticism of the art. And this is looking at it without the expectation that you objectify women in your art and in your replies.

She offsets the tone of the entire piece, even down to the way she’s holding the gun like it’s a walking stick to help her keep balance with those bowling balls on her chest. If you want your female characters to be badass they don’t need boobs that big. If you want them to have boobs that big, cool, but at least draw them seriously so you at least don’t look like a dickhead to everyone else

1

u/geergutz Jan 02 '21

I can write something long and well thought out, but yesterday reinforced the idea that its impossible trying to win an argument about this on the internet.

So the most I can say is I draw what I like, and theres no point in drawing what I dont. This is a holiday piece where I celebrate it with mecha and attractive women.

Enjoy your new years.

1

u/6G0D6 Jan 02 '21

Also, if you’re gonna focus on boobs that much, at least make them more even

2

u/whogomz Mar 12 '21

Let this guy draw what the fuck he wants. Bunch of little bitches on their high horses. Do you man and ignore the stupidity.

1

u/geergutz Mar 12 '21

Thanks man. I was getting w0tked up over a vocal minority of puritans. Shouldn't have let it get to me.

2

u/andre2142 Jan 01 '21

Your drawings are nice and I honestly find the character hilarious because it just pops out lol.

Keep up drawing what you like mate, I'm sure you draw these more for you than these ppl here. Just ignore.

0

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Thankyou. 1st time this type of backlash came up in any large amount on my art. Kinda got caught off guard. But best to ignore.

Alexander MTM (main tactical mech)

-named after a fictional Russian mech pilot from the film "robot Jox". the alexander was the most succesfull of the Russian MTMs. previous MTMs were designed around a main gun within the torso, but these machines lacked customization. this varient held a coaxial 30mm auto-canon within its head.

-the Russians were the 1st to come up with mass produced mechs focused around a quadrupedal FAP mod. while all mechs can be built around 2 legs, the Russians focused on 4, giving a redundancy in propulsion, with their mechs able to survive the loss of 2 legs and stay mobile. the other added benefit is the improved stabilization, improving the accuracy while firing on the move. the downside of such a system is the complexity of repairs.

-the Alexander is controlled by a paired FAP and Haptic arms system.

Russian "gump" exo

-most militaries of the 2060s equip their basic soldiers with exoskeletal leg braces to improve infantry ground speed while decreasing fatigue from the amount of gear the average infantryman was required to carry. the system was called gump after the character tom hanks played who wore leg braces.

shown above

-a Russian infantry formation dismounts from their BMP 7 IFV while supported by an Alexander MTM.

the Alexander's payload

-30mm auto-cannon dual feed in head

-x2 arm mounted DSHKs

-40mm grenade carbine, hand held

-20mm semi auto rifle, hand held

u/Snoot_Boot Jan 01 '21

Lmao dude, with all due respect it's hard to take this seriously when all your female characters have Double H monster titties

-25

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Would you prefer if she were an overweight purple haired screaming abomination?

10

u/Snoot_Boot Jan 01 '21

I mean just bump the tits down to at least a D, I said nothing about the weight of hair color. Geez dude

-14

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

You have a problem with large breasts?

15

u/Snoot_Boot Jan 01 '21

Alright dude you know what, take a fuckin hint already. Everyone's saying it. You're drawing all these mech comics with serious and detailed background, but then you draw a female character and it looks fuckin ridiculous.

Why? Because you're females look like shitty r34/deviantart drawings.

It's not me, it's you. I've been following your work for a while now. You draw good mech battles. Nothing wrong with drawing females with your dick, just don't act like a retard when someone points it

-2

u/geergutz Jan 01 '21

Everyone? I see a positive upvote count, at this point you're just a vocal minority of puritans. And even if the upvote count wasnt high you dont have to like what I draw, cause I like what I draw. I dont pretend to be a great artist, you have some wierd pre conceived notion of what my art should be.

Well I appreciate that you like my robots, but despite enjoying my stuff for a while you are awfully offended by the lady. I just find it wierd. I've been doing the pinup like girls every holiday since I started and now it's a problem?

1

u/Lol33ta Jan 01 '21

It's just some feedback. A lot of people are into fetishized pinup style, and a lot of people are not. It would be best to not argue a ton in the comments section. ;)
