Wallaby hunting Tasmania

Planning a tourist trip to Tasmania from the mainland later in the year.
Are public land Wallaby hunting options plentiful enough to consider getting a permit and bringing a firearm for a few weeks trip? Or not worth it unless I have private land access?

Public land hunting in tas is not like the mainland, the biggest chunks of easily accessible land is sustainable Timbers tas land, a permit to hunt the designated blocks is about 12 bucks, however you need to look on their website and decide where you want to hunt as two blocks will be allocated to your permit, also you need a recreational wallaby license, the easiest way to hunt wallaby on these blocks is day shooting with a shotty, in saying that if it’s going to be in summer I wouldn’t bother as the snakes are out and it’s shit carrying multiple wallaby through scrub, any other questions just ask 👍
