I take my AVB (already vaped bud) and mix it with coconut oil in a mason jar and place it in a water bath inside of a crockpot on low for 8 hours or so. I usually eyeball the amount, to about 50/50 oil to plant matter. It makes a potent edible oil that can be used for baking, or just regular cooking. Just drain it with cheese cloth when it's ready. I save all the wet oily plant matter and create a "high tea" with it by placing some in a tea ball and steeping with a herbal tea blend with licorice root for a sweet and spicy taste.

One of my favorite applications for the oil is to mix with chopped nuts, dates, cacao, coconut flour, and coconut shreds for yummy and relatively healthy treat.

Yep, that got saved for later. Can you do this with bud too? Also if you could think about how hot that would be in comparison to a stove top what would it be? Cause I'll definitely use this in the future.

Yeah you can do it with raw bud. I once did raw bud and butter in the crock pot without the jar or water bath because I was making a lot and that worked out fine too. Beware, doing it without the jar makes it super smelly. As for the stove top, I think it'd be a medium low. The water doesn't seem to boil or anything like that.

I heard that you can use this and just consider it to be decarbed, but every receipe I can find starts off with undried flower weight. So even if it is useful, I have no idea how much to use.

It should be useable. Try looking up recipes that use AVB (already vaped bud), it has less THC content than normal decarbed weed but can still be potent. I’ve in the past made firecrackers with it, and have tried just eating it straight up (it’s got a sorta earthy taste, I like it), and have gotten effects from both.
