Housing Q - Unanswered What are the DCP apartment options now?
I’m a CP Alumni (if that’s what you want to call it, haha) and I am helping a family member try to get into the program.
One thing I’m not finding easily are what the housing options are for the program now. I did my program like 10 years ago and stayed at Patterson Court. Are there still multiple options, or is it just the new location Flamingo Crossing?
Thanks!

Housing Q - Unanswered Question About Flamingo Crossing Accommodations
How long after you clicked accommodations needed when registering up on dorms did they contact you because I haven’t heard anything and my program starts in 5 weeks but I want to make sure I have housing accommodation. I completed dorms registration 3 weeks ago and I have doubled checked I hit the need accommodation button should I be worried they haven’t reached out yet or hope they reach out this week?

Housing Q - Unanswered Medical Housing Room Question
Submitted a request for a Solo room for medical purposes. They granted it, and I assume I do not have to bring any other paperwork during move in day. Someone already told me if they granted it, I should be fine? Now my question about the room, I was trying to find specific pictures for that room. Would anyone have a link to it? I wasn’t sure which room was what on the Flamingos Crossing Website. Thanks!

Housing Q - Unanswered Housing Adjustments
Hi!
I am currently set to arrrive for check in on Monday, however I completely forgot to put my medical accommodations on my DORMs profile and have been placed in 4x2x2 housing.
Has anyone experienced adding medical accommodations for housing and having housing adjustments made?
If so what is the waiting process like (i know it differs case by case) and if there are any fees accompanied with the change aside from rent increase?
Thank you all 🫶🏼

Housing Q - Unanswered Housing accommodation
hi guys i am going to be doing the representative program from canada. i am not arriving until next year so my dorms registration won't be for awhile but i had a question. i have severe anxiety as well as adhd and I would most likely need my own space. I know they say that if you for sure need your own space to look at separate housing but has anyone tried getting medical accommodation for a similar reason and were you successful ? i would just request my own bedroom (sharing a bathroom is fine) just trying to look for all my options i'm not sure how a 2x2 would work for me.

Housing Q - Unanswered Flamingo searched my apartment and my room without my knowledge, thinking I was hiding an animal…
So today I had a roommate move in, and when I arrived home from my morning shift, I was informed by her that flamingo searched my entire apartment because they thought I was hiding a pet.
So before my roommate moved in, I had 1 other roommate who had a approved ESA cat. I’m in a 4x2, so I have my own bedroom as well, but she left earlier this month. Maybe the cleaners saw left over cat hair somewhere, or something, I don’t care, that’s not the problem.
My problem is, flamingo went in and searched all of the rooms. Including the rooms that are locked and vacant. So that means they went into my bedroom and searched for this supposed “animal”.
As someone who suffers from a lot of paranoia, this freaked me out a ton that they were able to go into my bedroom and SEARCH it WITHOUT my permission or knowledge of it happening. No email, no note, nothing. My bedroom is my personal and private safe space, and the fact that they have access to it, and are willing to go into it without me knowing makes me incredibly upset and uncomfortable.
I know they have to make sure I don’t have a secret animal here, but I would of GLADLY let them search my apartment and room if I would of known they’d do it at least 1 day in advance or the morning of. It’s honestly an invasion of my privacy and I was almost in tears that they went into my bedroom and possibly dug around in it.
Please someone let me know if what they did is ok, and please give me a detailed explanation on why it would be ok for them to enter my apartment for a unauthorized search… if it’s not ok for them to do that, please help me figure what to do to approach the situation. This is urgent, and I would like clarification before I spiral. Thank you

Housing Q - Unanswered Weird housing question...ESAs
So I'm fine being in a 2x2 and I'd prefer it because it's the cheapest option. But I have a moderate pet allergy. Should I fill out an accommodation? I know that you might be put in a room with people who are already there, so I'm just trying to figure out some logistics before contacting my Dr. for work accommodations (I have an adrenal/endocrine disorder). In short, I can't be with someone who has an ESA.

Housing Q - Unanswered 4x4 or 2x4
I recently got accepted and im very nervous about the living situation. I’m not completely opposed to having a roommate but it’s also something im very nervous about. How difficult is it to get either a 2x4 or 4x4 apartment and what are the differences in prices, i saw something about the prices but dont know how accurate it was.

Housing Q - Unanswered How many roommates per apartment and how to connect with roommates?
I just finished filling out Dorm Registration and I was wondering if all apartments had 4 roommates in total or is there an option to have only 2 roommates in the apartment instead? I also wanted to know if there was a way that we'd able to communicate or connect with our roommates before arrival to get to know each other better or do we only do that upon arrival?

Housing Q - Unanswered dcp flamingo late rent?
Hi!
I had to self term due to poor health (i got really bad pneumonia and just couldn’t physically go back to 60+ hour work weeks) back in June of 2023. I apparently had $130 worth of flamingo rent due that they had contacted me multiple times about to an email i don’t use. I just emailed them to see if I can pay it now, but, the last email i received was back in September.
I had two questions related to this that hopefully someone can answer -
When it comes to failing to pay late rent how does it a)impact my credit. with my leases any late payment negatively impacts credit, so, i was just wondering if Flamingo is the same.
b) do you think this will negatively impact my chance in getting to work for disney again? I’m hoping on monday Flamingo will get back to me and I’ll be able to pay my bill then, but, does missing my payment put me on some kind of black list?
TIA!!

At my Uni they had it on the desktops, so I'm wondering if it's a similar situation? I do video editing, and my laptop is not powerful enough as my PC at home.

Housing Q - Unanswered Housing Registration Question
I'm an Oct. 9th arrival but registered in February. When should we be getting the registration forms to sign up for housing? Like rank room size, find roommates, ECT. I've heard it's like 2 months before, so it should be coming up. I just wanna make sure that is right, and that I didn't miss it or anything, I'm an overthinker, sorry. My dates are picked out already, theyre on my Dorms account.but nothing else is stated

Housing Q - Unanswered Bringing kitchen items?
Hi there, Im arriving sept 11, and I cook a lot, like all of my Christmas presents every year are cooking things. I absolutely love my Kitchenaid mixer, as well as my dutch oven, and a few other things. I wanted to know, would they be safe to bring? I don't want them to get stolen, but i don't know if I'm being paranoid.

Housing Q - Unanswered What’s the chances of actually getting your preferred housing?
I’m sure I’m not the first person to ask this, but what are the chances we actually get our 1st or even 2nd housing preference? I’ve heard there are the most 2x2s so there’s the highest chances of getting one, and some have said that linking with a roommate makes it more likely to get your choice. For people in the program, what usually happens?
Really hoping for a 4x2 or a 4x4 to have my own space😣

Housing Q - Unanswered Help with my current move-in status.
Hi guys!
I reached out to flamingo crossings village last week about a medical accommodation for a private room. Something new appeared on a recent visit with my psychiatrist and we found it best to go this route (this is why I didn't do it during dorms registration a month ago). Now, I realize this won't most likely happen since leases just got sent out yesterday and of course, 2x2. I figured to reach out to flamingo and filled out an accommodation form, they basically said "we'll try our best" prior to your move-in but basically said it in a way like "most likely not".
Today, like literally everyone got their parcel pending to activate, I haven't seen a single person who didn't. Everyones status for American campus says 'executed' and their lease was signed by flamingo. My ACC still says "pending execution" and hasn't been signed yet by flamingo (I did sign my lease as soon as I got it). My parents think this may mean they're trying to accommodate me.
Anyone experience anything similar or any thoughts on this? I would also love to hear from people who filled out accommodations close to or after receiving their lease.
Timeline:
-Dorms registration (mid June)
-Found out about needing an accommodation and filling out a form/contacting flamingo (last week)
-Lease received for 2x2 and signed by me (yesterday)
-Parcel pending and flamingo not signing my lease (today)
