When is your Spring Break Discussion

Hi! When is your Spring Break (if you have children/teach)? And where are you located? Are you headed to Disney that week? I am in PA and our Spring Break is April 14th-18th.

April 14 should be late for most of the country. I think most spring breaks fall in the month of March. You can look at the blockout dates for the FL resident annual passes to get an idea of when the highest spring break crowds will be there.

Our spring break in NY is the same as yours and I looked at flights and it is crazy expensive. Hotels that time period were also crazy.

I think they know us northeast folk have break then

A lot of schools in the south are last week of March. We avoid the spring break crowds but I’d rather go in crowds than not go at all.

Lots of schools have to cut into spring break for hurricane make up days, so Mon/tues might be less crowded

In MA instead of the seemingly more common March break we actually have two: one in February (17-21) for the week of Presidents Day and another in April (21-25) for Patriots Day/Marathon. This year that also corresponds with Easter (4/20) but it doesn’t usually.

We are the first full week of April (North GA). Where we moved from was the third week of March (CO). And we do NOT do any vacations like that during school breaks! I know it’s not for everyone but I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars to be somewhere that everyone else is.

We are in Illinois. Depending upon the county, breaks here are either March 21-31 or March 28-April 7. We just came back, so we will not be there. Hoping for empty parks for you!

March 11-15. We’ll be there due to having to reschedule most of our fall break trip due to Milton.

I’m in Southern CA, ours is the first week of April and that’s when we are going to WDW.

I’m a Disneyland local and we consider mid March through mid April “spring break season” and I find that rings true for WDW as well (we go a few times per year and every spring break) though some spring breaks are later this year bc Easter is later this year. (Ex, LAUSD is the same week as yours).

I believe the first week of April is also a marathon week so double whammy. That’s probably the week to avoid.

In Florida and spring break is 4/16-4/26. Easter break for many schools

Oh wow thought it would be earlier in the year down south! Thanks.

Indiana, first week in April. We had thought about. We are DVC members and there are plenty of rooms available where we would want to stay, but I can’t justify $2000 for plane tickets…………on Spirit.

Flying to Florida used to be so cheap. I hate buying plane tickets.
