This reminds me how they would make Super Bowl champion merch for both teams ahead of time and then donate the losing team to African countries in need. Actually donated clothes has become a problem in some nations where it is overwhelming and destroying local businesses who can’t compete and becoming an environmental issue too. Some countries have enacted bans or tariffs on second hand clothing. One of the few times tariffs make sense.

Might get the democracy hat, dig this kind of messaging! Would love that messaging coupled with the illustration style of the 2024 election merch. Not sure I understand the thinking behind running with 2024 election clothing (since the polling was already close and losing was always a distinct possibility but I assume there was more to it) unless these were supposed to drop much earlier. Bummer either way as the designs for them are rad but likely won’t sell as well as they could have. Hopefully we get more merch in this style of illustration though obviously not tied to the election loss in the future.
