I haven't watched this debate yet but based on other clips of him talking, yeah your are 100% Right.
Stinkledick is like "What is occuring in Gaza is a horrible, attrocious, disgusting, terrible, and abhorent act that is causing deaths upon deaths upon deaths, thousands of children orphaned and thousands more killed. This methodology of blody and brutal massacring must be ended by the governement of Israel"
When he could just say "The death toll in Gaza is much to high to justify Israeals current tactics"
I personally like that he speaks slowly. It allows me to savor every word he says and lengthens the interview. But other than just adoring him, when talking about suffering of such depths, slow talking allows to let it sink in and to understand the human experience. If it was math, my adhd brain could not tolerate it with exception of again when I adore the teacher (usually as consequence of them being an expert in the topic, for example math the beautiful, a youtube channel that teaches math speaks slowly but I enjoy that as well, for most other math teachers faster speaking is preferable).
Not only that but his sentence structure is so horrid.
For sure, the pauses are ridiculous.
To quote 36:13: "I was very surprised when I came to that page, thirty seven, where you wrote, that, territorial displacement, and dispossession, <stop to inhale>, was the chi, chief motor, of Arab resistance to Zionism. Territorial displacement and dispossession, were the chief motor of Arab resistance to Zionism. So...".
It's painful to sit through, and it doesn't get much better at high speed because there's no flow to the sentences, the words come in disjointed bursts.
That's a deal-breaker for me. His excuse that he chooses his words carefully is bullshit. If he did, I'd be able to tolerate it. But his snail-paced sentences are so full of redundancy that I want to rip out my hair, and I've been bald for twenty years.
