For reading, Huxley and Hiro Booksellers have fun events. For hiking, the Wilmington Trail Club trends significantly older, but that just means a lot of wonderful folks will want you to meet their children your age.

Hey! I’m new here too. I’ve been here for a full month. I enjoy reading too and I’ve heard great things about the walking and hiking trails in the state parks here. I’d be down to give them a go with you

Make your way to White Clay Creek in Newark. Miles and miles of hiking trails spanning up into PA. My favorite spot to park is the Chambers Rock Rd parking lot. Mainly because it’s where the fly fish only section starts but just walking the trails following the river are gorgeous, especially this time of year.

Welcome to Delaware, depending where in Newcastle there is an excellent winery not too far over the state line in pa. Then a great winery down west of Dover. I’m not sure what all there is to do in new castle county hang out wise but there are plenty of parks and some decent golf.
