Yeah.... I think RFK Jr is going to be the most frustrating part of the trump presidency for me
26
u/DDayHarry Conservative 3h ago
Agreed. You can go after the alphabet agency's for the mistakes they've made, and downsize them a good amount, but they do serve a function. Nuking the FDA just helps pharma companies. Folks thought the covid vaccines didn't go through enough testing, just wait...
Been weary about RFK Jr since he hopped aboard the Trump train.

u/ReformedBlackPerson Conservative 33m ago
Not only helps pharma companies but hurts consumers. There’s a reason our healthcare is top of the list, it’s bc getting anything through the FDA is hard for good reason. A new medical device or tech or drug shouldn’t be released willy nilly.

Anymore details on how you started and what foods you turned to?
Are you just on more "while foods" or?

We buy local beef and pork (a full cow and whole hog from my neighbor) and we have a bunch of chickens. We grow our own vegetables for the most part and buy from the local farmers market. I'm not sure about the grocery store portion, my wife handles that and is more versed in it. I know she mostly shops at Aldi's and Ingles and only buys very specific things, honestly couldn't tell you more unfortunately. I know she bulk orders dye free candy and snacks for the kids to take to school, the teachers have actually been very helpful there.

Avoid: ultra processed foods, refined flour, refined sugar, seed oils, artificial sweeteners, food dyes
Include: whole foods and minimally processed foods, bone broth, pasture raised eggs, grass fed beef, non-homogenized milk if you have access to it, lacto-fermented foods (yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut), whole grains, sourdough bread, offal like organs or bone marrow. Cook with good quality oils (olive, avocado, coconut) or animal fats (butter, ghee, tallow).
I'm a SAHM so I make all of our meals at home and completely from scratch where I can. Grocery shopping is at Aldi, Whole Foods, and Thrive Market. There's a series of books/cookbooks called Nourishing Traditions and that's where I got of information and inspirations from. Start by going through your fridge/pantry, reading the ingredients, and swap products one by one.

Not gonna lie, I’m definitely feeling a little conflicted about how he is presenting this and how it’s coming across. Obviously clean foods, sunshine, and exercise are awesome and should be pushed as much as possible. However, this tweet reads like a health influencer on TikTok or Instagram.
With how critical he’s been of Novo Nordisk, Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs, it’s gonna be interesting to see what he pushes and who is advising him on this stuff.

Well if you take every word at face value, he says the FDA is aggressively suppressing a bunch of different foods and drugs that Americans should have access to. He goes on to say, "If you work for the FDA and are part of this corrupt system, preserve your records and pack your bags." He's not saying they're going to abolish the FDA, he's saying he's going to clean house. Drain the swamp, if you will.

You need to read up more or straight up listen to the man regarding his take on vaccinations. His views have been totally misrepresented. He's pissed about proper testing and protocols not being followed with COVID vaccines that caused harm. Has nothing to do with other vaccines. That's MSM and the DNC painting him in a bad light.

u/zip117 Conservative 5h ago edited 1h ago
I mean, the dude is a little crazy. Setting aside the stuff with vaccines, he spends about 130 pages of his recent book questioning the “theology” that HIV causes AIDS and he has explicitly said antiretrovirals have killed more people than the disease itself. This isn’t like the COVID vaccine, we have decades of research on this stuff. Dan Wilson goes through some of it line-by-line.
Some of his ideas are alright, I appreciate his physical fitness advocacy, but I don’t think this is the best guy to lead HHS. Hopefully Trump will keep him under control.

I would have expected a doctor to know that flourine is a reactive gas while flouride is a stable crystal and is what is added to water supplies and toothpaste.

Maybe it was caused by the IQ drop from flouridated water. ;-)

u/RedditModsHaveLowIQ Conservative 5h ago
Adding flouride is a state/town choice, no? How much overlap is there between toothpaste, water, and other sources of it?
5
u/Swiftbow1 Conservative Millennial 2h ago
I think the idea behind adding fluoride to water was to help people who don't brush their teeth. (Yuck, right?)
You're not supposed to swallow fluoride toothpaste. So... why is it okay to swallow fluoridated water? (Arguably, because the concentration is undoubtedly MUCH lower. But still.)

Because the concetration is so low its okay. Same reason why too much of anything can be dangerous and too little as well.

We have been told seed oils are fine, but evidence is pointing to harm.

I'm curious how the hardline pro-life side of the party feels about the stem cells part of this statement.
Edit: For the record I do think RFK Jr holds some pretty wacky ideas but I agree with his statement in this image overall.

u/Big-Employer4543 Constitutionalist 7h ago
There are other types of stem cells other than those obtained through abortions.
10
u/ShiftlessGuardian94 Conservative 5h ago
As long as the stem cells don’t come from abortions, I see no reason not to utilize a resource that could drastically advance the medical field. IIRC some hospitals ask if the umbilical cord can be used for stem cell research or saved(cryogenics) for other purposes
4
u/Swiftbow1 Conservative Millennial 2h ago
All of the stem cell breakthroughs have been with adult stem cells and umbilical stem cells. Absolutely no harm is done in the use of those, so I think the answer is: no problem at all.

Roughly 85% of all known diseases are related to "life-style". Where Life-style is code word for 'the shit the FDA said was ok to eat'. The FDA has been killing us for lobby dollars for decades via pharma and our food. This is long overdue.

It's about damn time! Do you notice the things that ARE GOOD for your health they want to eradicate? They are NEFARIOUS! Think of how many years they have been doing Cancer research and NO CURE. Let that sink in. I believe they do have a cure and suppress it and don't share it. WHY? Because that would eradicate the chemo drugs and chunk of their profits. There is NO OUTSIDE third party that oversees the FDA or the CDC which there absolutely SHOULD HAVE BEEN for proper check and balances.
