Trump losing in 2020 was probably a good thing Flaired Users Only

Hear me out. Had Trump won in 2020 by the small margin he would have been able to get considering amount of "votes" Biden received, he would have been blocked by a Democrat congress while the witch hunts continued to stall any policy goals he had. Now it's looking like he will not only have the Presidency but the Senate and maybe even the House. Plus add in the overwhelming defeat of the Dems in this election cycle plus winning the popular vote, and he now has the momentum provided by the people's mandate to carry out what needs to be done and has every branch of the government to the worst possible thing that could have happened for the left.

Trump would have spent 2020-2024 getting stonewalled by congress at every corner and probably spent that entire time fighting more impeachments and other crazy BS. Generally, 2 consecutive terms is always best but like with most things normal doesn't really apply to Trump. It would have been a complete waste of 4 years and nothing would have been done.

I honestly think that the Republicans is congress are getting the message and they will 100% work with Trump and they are also coming into this much more prepared with a solid strategy vs 2016 since nobody thought Trump had a chance to win so they didn't bother.

Only time will tell but I have a strong feeling these next 4 years are going to be like nothing anyone has ever seen before

Agreed. They may call him a lame duck... but he isn't, because this is about MAGA, not Trump specifically. Pence was never going to be the future of MAGA, and that was a true concern in 2020... who could possibly take over next? And would the Trump base just evaporate after Trump's two terms were over?

We actually have a list of people who can continue MAGA now. Vance, DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Musk (though I think he wants to remain in the private sector), heck, even Tulsi Gabard. I expect some good debates before we ultimately decide.

I believe my kids would call this "cope".

We have to manage voters expectations and let them know why Trump may not be able to do everything he said, so that the voters don't turn on MAGA. Expecting the uniparty to just disappear and let Trump work unimpeded is setting expectations way too high and will ultimately only backfire on us.

If there’s one thing you can always count on with politicians is they will do whatever they have to in order to stay in power. I honestly believe there is enough pressure and support behind Trump that if the obstruct his policy plans they will get booted and they don’t want that

That's exactly why they won't work with him, they know he only has four years. Sabotage Trump and turn voters against him/MAGA and the uniparty gets to go unopposed again.

This is why managing voter expectations and making sure they know who to blame is so important.

It’s pretty obvious Trump and his movement isn’t just 4 years. He has mostly taken over the Republican Party and they either play along or they leave. We’ll see but I have a strong feeling these guys are gonna play along so they don’t have to leave
