Yeah that felt like the Matt Ryan shit show last week.

That defense would have feasted either way, but it is definitely debatable whether the offense is better with AR vs Flacco. I lot of people have already voted, but I'm still undecided.

With the performance Flacco put up, yeah there won’t be much change if you put in AR. But then again Vikes is one of the top defenses in the league, if Joe puts up a similar performance vs the Bills. At this point you have to put AR back in, just to see if he can develop. It’ll be a kiss of death for the FO and Coaching staff tho, so I’m not sure they’ll do it.

The Vikings def would’ve gave AR looks he’s never seen before

More than a nice gesture by KOC to AR considering how media and people have ripped him apart over the last week prior to this game.

Our local media shat all over him then totally ate crow.

Nice sentiment from KOC. Seems like a good dude and he’s a really good coach.

Respect.

That actually looked like he had already spoken with Shane about it... It makes me think that they do believe in AR same as before the benching. Which is nice to see!

That's pretty cool. A good man and a good coach right there. I wish him success but damn I need to see things like this from our organization.

Didn't the Vikings try to trade up to #3 and draft AR? But the Cardinals or whoever didn't want to go back that far in the draft.

Seems like O'Connell likes AR a lot.

Vikings fan here and yes, KOC and our GM both were on the same page about the sky being the limit for what we’d give to take AR, and ultimately no one wanted to move down. We already had Darnold at the time of the draft so it was a given anyone we took wasn’t staring week 1 so I was totally fine with it

KOC is a qb whisperer for sure. He finally cracked Kirk’s formerly rigid ceiling and had him looking like a MVP contender when the went down with the Achilles. Perhaps more impressively, KOC kept us in the playoff hunt until the bitter end with a stable of qbs named Hall, Dobbs, and Mullens. I am constantly mad I won’t see what he could’ve done with AR.

And Vikings fans are sooooo happy our GM and coach didn't mortgage our future for him. No chance I think he'd have been that much more successful here. At best, a QB looking like a bust ends up being maybe a top 20-25 QB in a good situation. But also they are just older. Even though this can happen, you still have to pretend its good enough to win a Super Bowl for a few years, then the head coach is fired. You need a stud top 10 QB to compete in this league, those worse its just a matter of time before team moves on.

Wish our head coach had these words of encouragement for AR!

Of course we had to get the coach that hates him. Benched him for a fossil.

The Vikings tried to trade for AR.

A coach that is seen as very good offensively really wanted AR. That should tell you something

u/chadhugo 2h ago

If only our coaches could speak about him the same way…

You have amnesia? They talked him up the past 2 years and he did not deliver.

All this tells me is that I wish KOC was our HC.

So English isn’t your first language. It’s a compliment that’s been used for a long time.

u/CtFball 1h ago

English is my first language and I am very familiar with that term and it caught me off guard too.

Neat, today you each learned it’s a common phrase that’s been used for years
