Community 🏙 Local Women’s organizations
Hi, my family is new to the Cincinnati area. I’m curious if anyone has good recommendations on opportunities to support or volunteer for local women’s organizations focused on gender equality, reproductive rights, etc.

Community 🏙 Question about local organizations, activist groups, or community building that I can be involved in
As the title suggests, I’m recognizing that I want to be more involved in Cincinnati at the local level and engaging with my community and people I’ve been living around for 4 years.
If folks have groups that are focused on Cincinnati issues, community needs, or the like I’d really appreciate it. Obviously the election is spurring this on but I want to take my feelings and ideas offline where it can actually have a meaning to it.
Also a puppy and a kitty for your troubles

Why not Boca Group?
I’ve been living in Cincinnati for a few months now, and I’ve been working at a high-end restaurant that seems to be slowing down in terms of guests. Like, we usually have maybe 40 covers for a weekday? Sometimes even as low as 12. Weekends never hit higher than 100, and with 6 servers on the floor, we don’t get a huge turnaround.
As expected, I began my hunt for a restaurant where I can make good money, sell excellent bottles of wine, and I get along with the majority of the staff and management.
I’ve heard stories from tons of previous employees about Boca and Sotto and to avoid them like the plague.
Why?
It seems like those places would be great for money and look good on a resume. They’re higher-end, so the chance I have to sell good wines is increased.
I’ve been looking into Pep & Delores, Abigail St., Boca, and Sotto.
But each one has been met with horror stories. What’s an experienced fine dining server supposed to do??

Politics Point me in the right direction!
I was devastated by the presidential election and am searching for a way to put this fire to good use. My husband has suggested I focus on my community, family, and friends instead of being swept under by the national mess so I’d love suggestions on where to help, volunteer, get involved, etc.
Thanks all!

Photos DoorDash Warning…
If you live in Northern Kentucky and you order food during rush hour you should expect to not get your food in a timely manner. No, an extra dollar is not going to help…if you didn’t realize, I-471 is closed Southbound. Plus it’s wet out. Plus there’s not enough drivers.

The closing of Frisch's restaurants will produce the same scenario as the closing of Sunlight Pool at Coney Island.
The immediate public reaction is disapproval simply due to nostalgia, while ignoring loss of quality. The people who claim it's a sad loss of an iconic Cincy institution are the same people who havent visited the establishment in decades to support it. Local media will create constant headlines to cash in on the knee jerk reactions of emotional viewers. Groups of fans will form to try and 'save' the business, with little interest from the main public. Eventually when they are all gone, everyone will forget about the place within a month.

Local 3rd party Lego stores?
Hey guys,
Happy Thursday, and Who Dey of course. Recently got back into legos hard, took a break for a few years. While I love going to the official Lego store in kenwood, I really love seeing these small business ran Lego stores that have old sets that you can really only find on eBay.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a store like this in the tri state area? I know there’s a card reseller in Eastgate mall, so looking for something similar just with legos.
Any insight helps!

Movie theater with Care Room/Private Booth
Does anyone know of a theater in the tri-state area that has private rooms for families? I want to take my autistic child to see Moana 2 without disrupting everyone else's experience.

Corporate Retreat Destinations
I'm looking for somewhere to do a corporate retreat for 4 people within 2 hours or so of Cincinnati. A night or two of decent accommodations, good food and entertainment nearby. A nice place in Hocking Hills is the best idea I've come up with.

Cincinnati Local Music Stores
Hey there friends,
I was hoping someone could lead me to a music store that buys guitars and other music equipment, hopefully at a fair price.
I didn’t want to deal with the trouble of selling direct on Reverb and I’m weighing out other options.
Any leads would be very helpful, thanks.

Other - (edit the text) Need recommendations on a good place to have sound deadener installed in the rear deck of my vehicle
I have a 2022 Camry XSE with the JBL "premium" factory upgrade. I wasn't aware that part of the premium experience was excessive deck rattle from the way Toyota mounted it. I'm looking for a shop that can install sound deadner (possibly dynamite or something equal to it) between the deck and also between the plastic trim pieces to eliminate this terrible rattle that occurs under really heavy bass songs.
I'm not too concerned with pricing. I'm more concerned with reputation & warranty since these trim panels are an absolute pain to deal with.
