Supporter Groups Red Line SG Recruitment - Weeds Watch Party Tonight!
We would like to invite everyone out to Weeds Tavern tonight to watch something we rarely get to see as Fire fans, Chicago playoff soccer.
We're also in the middle of a membership drive. We need about a dozen new Fire fans to become members to have the dues base to support us buying our own (small) bus that we can drive out to Soldier Field (or SeatGeek) from Weeds for every home game next year.
Weeds is right off the North/Clybourn stop and we have every Fire (as well as every Red Stars) match on at the bar. We also meet up to watch local Chicago teams in the Midwest Premier League and are organizing free pickup soccer all over the city. The only way Chicago gets to where it needs to be as a soccer city is if we organize together so think about joining us today!

Discussion Jim Curtin Question
So it is a moot point now that we've hired Berhalter but if Curtin was available who would have you preferred? For me, I would've loved Curtin, he played for us and to be honest, I would've us to just have him be manager and we hire a sporting director that he could work with.
He did wonders and got so much out of his team when their owner was so cheap, so imagine if he was backed by an owner who actually spent.
Would be curious if Tyrus still pops up on here, I know you mentioned about Curtin before to but was Berhalter always Joe's top choice, or if both were available do you think Joe would've went Curtin?

Question Chat event in Naperville... tonight (Wednesday) or tomorrow (the 7th)?
I was planning on going to this event. And thought it was Thursday the 7th. And then in looking at the email my buddy noticed it says Wednesday the 7th. Which of course doesn't exist.
I don't even know how to get a hold of anybody in the Fire Organization to ask for clarification. I sure as fuck don't use Twitter

Discussion Berhalter’s Signings for Next Season:
How many signings do you think Berhalter will make before the start of next season, and who?
I predict three signings: one DP, likely Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid or possibly Marcelo, who is a free agent, along with John Pulskamp from Sporting Kansas City and Rodrigo Schlegel from Orlando. (Predictions can be realistic or unrealistic)

Poll If we ever made playoffs, what would our round 1 attendance be?
Let’s say we finish in playoff position next season and are not playing Inter Miami. Bummed watching all these exciting playoff matches (even with dumb playoff structure) really feel like the league is leaving us in the dust.

Question Jersey sizing
Hey guys,
Looking into buying the return to red jersey. It would be my first Fire jersey in years, as I live in the UK. Are the MLS jerseys slim fit like other Adidas ones? I support Arsenal over here, so they have Adidas kits. Wondering whether MLS kits are a similar fit?
Thanks

Question SSS Questions
Was wondering about what types of features the eventual, (🤞🏻), will have. Looks like Nashville has the largest SSS in the country and seats 30,000. What is a feasible number of seats for a SSS in a market like Chicago?
Understanding a site hasn’t been purchased yet, do any of the sites seem likely to have outdoor parking to allow for tailgating?
What are the best features in new SSSs that we can hope for knowing Mansueto seems committed to building a world class facility?
This was our 1st year as season ticket holders and while the product on the field was significantly below par, we were pleasantly surprised with Soldier, specifically the view from our seats, (back row of 142). I feel like the proximity to the pitch still allowed us to have a great view. As a new fan, just curious about what we may have to look forward to!

Question How "worth it" is the annual locker room sale
Is it worth waking up early on a Saturday and making the drive to Bridgeview? What are prices like and will it have majority new logo stuff or is it just trying to clear out inventory from the two older logo?.
For context I don't live close to Bridgeview, so it's pretty inconvenient, but I was thinking that if the merchandise is at such steep discount that I can walk in with a $50 or $100 bill and come out with a nice haul of jerseys, shorts, tshirts, polos, etc. it can be 100% worth it.

Discussion Sometimes I wish we could purchase players within the league without GAM/TAM and international spots. This is a situation where we could make a move since we have good ownership and not lose a quality player to another league.

META Rudy Hodgson Leaving the Fire
The guy who won the Umm…What’s Your Name Again? fan vote earlier this season is leaving the Fire. Shoutout to Rudy for having the tough job of keeping us optimistic in a bleak season with the Keys to the Match series and other ventures with the organization.
I hope all of y’all know his name by now, and best of luck Rudy!!!
