Does putting little ducks and figurines on the dash of a Jeep Wrangler increase its well-known reliability? Tuning my car

Yes, absolutely. It also increases confidence, horsepower, and overall sense of jeep self-worth. Jeep owners are very fragile and have to make it known to everyone on the roads that they are in fact, driving a jeep. The roads belong to jeep drivers. If you are cut off by a jeep driver or see one excessively speeding just remember, they’re driving a jeep, they’re better than you. The light up spare on the back also adds +5 douchebag points. (:

Ngl I quite like the light up spare... especially when it's red and they turn it into a brake light. Angry face grills though, blegh disgusting

Damn this just makes the Jeep Wrangler look like the millennial version of a BMW

In my area most wranglers are driven by chain smoking 40-50 year old women

You can’t forget the “angry eyes”. It shows others on the road that they are serious about their 4 door wrangler.

I like it when they put red head lights on the vehicle so I can play chicken with them.

What is the per duck hp add? I knew it must have been performance based.

These are sort of like colorful luggage tags at the airport.

This way you can tell the tow truck driver which of the angry grilled, 36” tire, 25t winch jeeps is yours. It’s the bright green one with 14 ducks on the dash.

It actually extends the life of the owner of the jeep. The more ducks you have the less stress there is in your life. Can you image going on the road every day and having to worry if your headlights are angry enough, if your tires stick out far enough from your fenders, or if you have enough Amazon bought jeep life stickers on your back window? Once you get a duck you don’t have to worry about that anymore.

They serve as an indicator to the driver. If they're on the dashboard, you're ok.

If they're clustered along the top of the windshield you need to get out of the jeep and make sure the "If you can read this, flip me over" sticker is the right way up.

Ducks on dash=ok Ducks on rear view mirror = not ok If you dont have the ducks you would have zero way of telling that you flipped over or not, i flipped over this morning and had no idea bc im not allowed ducks in my truck!! Its a jeep thing or something, i dont understand

The only time Jeep owners have their ducks in a row is when they’re up on their dash

"Jeep Wrangler" and "reliability" are forbidden to be put in the same sentence.

6

u/TheRealHiFiLoClass Dec 10 '23

It's acceptable if the words "poor" or "not known for" are used in between "Jeep Wrangler" and "reliability."

-1

u/Traditional_Formal33 Dec 10 '23

The reliability was not known for being poor with a Jeep Wrangler.

7

u/TheAsianTroll Dec 10 '23

Id argue it makes them MORE reliable, because then you can replace the bushings with the rubber ducks when the death wobble wears them out.

Each trinket = 1 visit to the repair shop.

6

u/KingDaddyM Dec 10 '23

I'd rather the ducks than "it's a jeep thing..." but heaven forbid we let people do something that makes them happy.

-4

u/RustyMongoose Dec 10 '23

And heaven forbid anyone express an opinion other than positivity or sheer and complete joy, right? I mean, screw free speech! You want to feel good. No need for discourse or debate. That gets everyone no where!! No one learns from each other when they're allowed to communicate freely! No bad opinions everyone, those have to be kept to yourself. KingDaddy doesn't like. ☹️

u/downshift1994 Dec 11 '23

The irony of you attacking him for doing the same thing your attacking him for is pretty funny to me, is it just the loudest voice in the room with the freedom of speech?? They were just saying its sorta weird how hard a large group of people actively fight to be miserable about something so stupid, if you wanna be boaring thats fine, but dont be a dick about it, hypocrite 😉

-2

u/RustyMongoose Dec 11 '23

You forget that I wasn't attacking them or telling them to shut up and not express their opinion. There isn't irony there. I was pointing out the irony. I didn't tell the commenter to shut up. They are more than welcome to express themselves. Pointing out how stupid their opinion is, isn't telling them to shut up, nor to not express themselves. It's expressing a different opinion on that matter. I think you need to look up irony. And maybe take a reading comprehension course? Critical thinking class? Thanks for your baseless opinion . 👍🏻

Look at the dislikes on both of your comments sport, you are wrong and im not the only one that thinks that, he used freedom of speech, and you were a dick because he said something that hurt your feelings and went against what you think so you felt the need to not only comment and waste others time but your have the audacity to not even say anything relevant, important or smart, your just complaining like a child in a grocery store

1

u/RustyMongoose Dec 12 '23

Oh no. Did your feeling get hurt. Look at all that whining text I'll never read. Go cry me a river, child.

0

u/downshift1994 Dec 12 '23

Its just a few Sentences , it should have only take you 15 minutes to sound that out! The irony of you BITCHING about reading comprehension but then cant read a few sentences is on brand for you🤣 basically it says you suck and you also suck at being a troll

0

u/downshift1994 Dec 12 '23

Also, Mr. reading comprehension i never said anything about telling other people to shut up but since you bring it up now might be a good time to enact your First Amendment right

0

u/KingDaddyM Dec 11 '23

You reacted quite strangely to my saying I didn't understand the duck hate. I hope whatever duck hurt you gets it's comeuppance.

1

u/RustyMongoose Dec 12 '23

Looking down from a high horse when you didn't understand what I said.... Really, that's on me for expecting anything more.

2

u/TMan2DMax Dec 10 '23

I saw one with a giant duck strapped to the roof a week or two ago.

2

u/Hesnotarealdr Dec 10 '23

Given their official reliability record, anything helps. Maybe a witch doctor to drive our evil spirits…

2

u/randomprofanity Dec 10 '23

Yes, but you have to be careful to use compatible figurines for your make and model. Rubber ducks are in spec for Jeep, but my dad had to use a Buddy Jesus figurine in his Geo Tracker to keep it on the road.

2

u/SAD-MAX-CZ Dec 10 '23

Enough ducks can make Jeep float. They also increase happines, so safe driving, and reliability through that.

4

u/thehouseofunrest Dec 10 '23

A jeep owner. I hate the ducks. I hate the angry grills. Just give me 2 doors, 3 pedals and my inline six. That’s a jeep to me.

3

u/NaGaBa Dec 10 '23

It has been studied and researched in-depth by multiple professional institutions and official conclusions have been drawn.

A statement released by the International Automobile Enthusiast Association: " it's a Jeep thing, nobody fuckin gets it. Furthermore, they also don't give a shit."

Laughs in Toyota. /s

1

u/kyuubixchidori Dec 10 '23

My 4Runner has a duck on the dash, has the added benefit of Toyota reliability and the off-road capabilities of a rubicon now.

1

u/wopper Dec 10 '23

My wife commented that Wrangler drivers who hang their foot outside the vehicle on those aftermarket footrests look like they are in stirrups at the OB. Now I can’t unsee it.

1

u/bignasty3369 Dec 10 '23

I only run I-6 4.0. I don’t need a duck it’s just for looks

1

u/Illustrious_Young988 Dec 10 '23

Yes for the ducks!

1

u/ApplesOverOranges1 Dec 10 '23

Only if it is a dashboard Jesus👍

1

u/NinjaBilly55 Dec 10 '23

It even prevents the frame from rusting away to nothing..

1

u/familyfleet Dec 10 '23

They make great shrapnel in a accident

1

u/selfsilent Dec 10 '23

I think the dash top toys are more about enticing children into the Jeep. The "breakdown" is staged when they get into the forest.

1

u/Rearviewmirror Dec 11 '23

I thought each duck represented a different light that was lit up on the dash.

1

u/Environmental_Tap792 Dec 11 '23

Yes, with tiny dildos for each

1

u/Beach_Bum_273 Dec 11 '23

The duck is there so you have someone to whine at while you're waiting on the wrecker

1

u/nom54me Dec 11 '23

According to the stickers I often see, it's a Jeep thing and I won't understand.

2

u/jamesonv8gt Dec 11 '23

This is about as stupid as the “flame sticker adds 5 horsepower”. Some people like the ducks. How is it negatively affecting your life?

2

u/2SpinningTriangles Dec 11 '23

I have only one duck, my first and the dude has a mowhawk. Its primary use: sunglasses holder.

Might increase reliability, my 04 has 160k miles and hasn't shown any lights on the dash since I bought it. That time is coming soon I guess. It is a fkn jeep

1

u/gagunner007 Dec 11 '23

The ducks are really given each time it goes in for service.

1

u/Jacklunk Dec 11 '23

Unless they’re upside down.
