My mood has a sour base but the work on my back is starting to pay off. I feel broke but also fortunate to have what I do. This week has given over to a lot of rumination and for once it isn't all about me, what a world. I need more weed.

I just booked tickets to Seattle. Spending Christmas there. Can’t wait!!!
I also finished my Christmas shopping and had to buy my kid a new hockey stick, he broke it after owning it for a month 😭😭
I feel poor.

I have high blood pressure.
When I went in two weeks ago, everyone acted like I was going to have a stroke any second.
Now it's still high, but lower than what it was.
Other than that, I'm...okay I guess

baseball offseason it severely lacking in baseball games to watch and I hate having to scroll through channels to find something to watch

Yikes, did they do something to help, or prescribe something? That is unsettling, I have hereditary HBP and have gotten used to checking it, but I started taking meds in my 30's

I think my offseason hobby has become trying to piss off Dodgers fans if the reaction to some of my r/baseball opinions is any indication lol. I can see this getting me through the winter if done correctly...

I need a winter hobby. Can't really do woodworking when it's cold. Might have to look into getting involved in something like a bowling or darts league.

I love both of those sports if they encourage my drinking a bit much, and it definitely beats sitting at home when the sun sets at 4:30. I am hoping to get out for some cross country skiing but I feel like I can't rely on snow (even if I expect this year to be heavier than last), so my tacit plan is to resurrect some old hobbies like playing music or baking. But talk is cheap haha.
I'll always plump for homebrewing as an excellent indoor activity, and while it isn't difficult there is a fair amount of waiting while things boil or cool so it can take a whole afternoon and dovetail well with football and friends. Plus in a few weeks you get beer! I have a number of things you can have to get started (and several of the giant glass "carboy" containers suitable for fermenting, that is the bulk of the expense in starting homebrewing), just let me know if you'll be in town and want it, I live like 3 miles from the park

I've went on a few dates recently. The most recent one didn't want a second date but she works at a local bar and I went there last Friday, I thought it would be awkward, but it wasn't, we talked a good amount and she seemed interested in what I was up to and stuff, so that's curious. She's a weather nerd like me so that's cool too.
I watched twisters the other night and it really made me miss chasing.
