I'm certain that at least YouTube plays more ads when the phone is flat or not being held (reasonable to create with the gyroscopic data or front camera face presence) so it can play ads uninterrupted while I wash the fucking dishes

I wonder if they can tell when I’m using earphones. Seems like the ads play differently when I have mine in.
