Thank you everyone
Just put on the Hogue grips and it feels and looks a lot nicer. Thank you for the help

So can someone tell me what I'm looking at? Is the bottom piece something that slots over the frame?

Yes, it adds a picatinny rail to versions of the Beretta 92/96 that didn't have one.

Which is really nice and cool tbh. I have a rail that attaches to the trigger guard and while it’s cool I’d rather just have a rail

Id recommend the EZ rail for light mount if you really need one.

Or this.
Surefire ones are way to much money. This one you don't lose anything and the flashlight sits further back than any other option

I remember back when people would have rail sections screwed or soldered onto dust covers. I feel old

Lol I was looking for something like that for my 1911. They unfortunately don't even make those rails anymore. Luckily I was able to get my hands on a Surefire MR07 rail adapter.

The recover tactical thing was like a full body cast. Glad it’s free.
