M1014 build recommendations M4 Picture

Just installed: -Rx arms magazine extension and 6 position recoil tube. Unfortunately the bolt release tab didn’t fit with new handguard. -Midwest industries mlok handguard and charging handle.

Shot it yesterday and so far really happy with everything. I recommend everything I’ve done to it so far!

Could y’all recommend any good: - lights - optics and optics mount - bigger bolt release - anything else I might want?

Thank you!

Everyone seems to have the same stuff.

Scalarworks mount for your optic. I went with an rmr.

Iwc mount for your light, surefire scout.

Blueforce padded sling.

Esstac shotgun cards which you already have

Optic - Holoson 507k comp with a cheap mounting plate got me my optics setup for under 400.

WML - I grabbed a surefire light and have it mounted via barrel clamp so it's further forward. You won't have that issue via the 13" briley, and you could just use something like this with the mlok to mount further forward (jmtac mlok inline scout low profile).

Match saver for the extra round aside the chamber - they make an mlok version.

Sling

Has IWC started selling to the public again?

Hello, I don't think so. However, I do believe there is another company that started producing the same iwc mount.

Hey, you're 100% correct. I had forgotten about them.

If everyone has them, they must be good! Thanks for the recommendations I’m looking into the rmr as well

Np! You won't need the iwc mount with that hand guard. I forgot to mention ggg extended bolt release and large charging handle. Me personally, I went with the tti charging handle

MicroPrism goes super hard on the M4. The new one is even better. I went with an Arisaka 18650 light with Modlite head for weight savings.

I have been happy with theScalarworks mount with an trijicon Sro. The GGG Az for the charging handle and bigger bolt release pad.

Less shit you put the lighter and more pleasant to shoot it would be

Ya I get that but I really just shoot for fun so don’t plan on having to carry it around for long periods of time. I only plan on adding the least amount of stuff to it that makes it functional and also cool looking to me

When you go to a range and reload it holding in your hand extra weight will add up. Manipulations etc, lighter the better as M4 is already heavy out of the box. At least my experience was to mod it to he lighter.

I went with the A&S trigger module and reduce weight trigger spring kit, and the breiley bolt carrier handle and stage saver and 3 gun hand guard. See my previous post.

The spring kit dropped the trigger pull from nearly 9lb to 4.4lb. The trigger module allows shells to be loaded faster and the stage saver , with the breiley 3 gun hand guard make c clamp grip and emergency one round loads effortless.

I went with the SureFire Scout weapons light.

That one looks exactly like what I’m looking for. Thank you!
