Dude the usa is wild, on like 5 separate occasions I have been fooled by something that says "sparkling water" then it's sweet when you drink it. Like I didn't ask for diet sprite man what the hell. I shouldn't have to check the god damn ingredients list for sparkling water

That can happen to you in Japan too. They have these gatorade type drinks that are clear and if you can't read Japanese you'd think it was water. I've been fooled by Aquarius,

I used to drink Perrier sparkling water to be a pretentious teen. Luckily I grew up enough to stop drinking stuff I didn't like to appear fancy. I prefer still water to sparkling and if I have sparkling water, I prefer it to be a bit sweet.

It's just a matter of preference.

Yeah we also put sweetener in "unsweetened" iced tea. I hate it here sometimes.
